Who has time to do some laps with me late on Friday or maybe Saturday? I need some pointers since I never really did ovals.

Hold the gas and turn left. ;D
You'll probably pick it up pretty quick. It's more a matter of seat time to get comfortable with the car.

Ha... I tried it in iRacing and was slow so i figured someone could spend 15 minutes with me...but yeah, gas, turn left, rinse and repeat.

If I get the new version installed, I may be around Friday...but I've got some other stuff to sort out too. I'll try to post something if I can make it. Though you'd be better off with advice from Stinky or Spaz. They are the oval experts.
I can seem to hold my own at short tracks where braking is involved, but I'm a non-factor at big tracks...if I even show.

The big tracks are all about drafting! If you lose it, you'll get left behind. For Daytona, you'll hold the throttle flat out all the way around the track. Just try to stay right behind someone else or keep someone behind you. Try to keep it right on the bottom through the corners too! When drafting behind someone, I usually try to keep the throttle all the way down but drag the brake some to keep from hitting them.

I might be around Friday night to work with ya Zed. Are you planning on using just a stock in game car if you should make a race or two? Or did you need a paint? If you do, drop over to the request thread and sumbit #/brand/and basis for you scheme. Thanks Daytona will be easy to drive the track , it's a fixed setup, you'll just have to learn about drafting
