Guys, sorry I started a lap mess. Just run the 100 laps and I will catch the next one. Most guys can go past midnight so just run the full race. No worries.

That was fun last night guys. We had minimal technical issues to overcome at the start and so we were able to get in a healthy 75 laps without pushing the midnight envelope too much. Sorry that Hawks and F1 had technical issues. If it helps any, my driver for my T500 crashed right after we finished Spazcar, resulting in a missed iRacing race for me. Oh well, such is life.

Damn PC BSODed on lap 5. I was feeling super comfortable and sticking to Ian's bumper then Boom. Reboot.
I'm getting mad at this PC. I updated video drivers and BIOS to see if that helps. The next time rF crashes on me Ill be reinstalling Windows and starting from scratch.

That sucked F1. I remembered again why I don't run big ovals. I'll see you guys again at the short tracks and road courses.

The problem is that the mod does not allow good two wide action like real life NASCAR, iRacing and Arca on the super speedways. Heck, I can do good two wides even in Nascar the Game Inside Line. I tried repeatedly last night to get a good outside line going, but we just could not get it to work. Part of the problem also is that the cars push out way too much on the turns. We need to learn how to work the wheel to avoid this. Part of the solution is to pick a line and stick with it. Perhaps VHR 2013 will improve on this.
This should be far less of an issue with the speedways and short tracks, where lifting and braking will come into play.

Man, that was intense!! Boza, Sheldon and I had a good train going on the inside line. I kept hearing Spaz, Tony and Craig trying to get the outside line going and I kept thinking, oh shit, they're going to be coming. Then with a couple laps to go, Boza had a technical issue and we lost him. Thank goodness Sheldon was still there! I owe you guys one!
I haven't watched the replay yet, but with around 20 to go, Boza and I went to the high line and I think we passed three or four cars up there. Not sure if something happened to let us get by, but it sure felt good!

I agree with Craig's statement on VHR however...I find the iRacing and the NTG a little unrealistic. It's about aero. Last night I was able to get some sling shoting off 1 to work the outside line down the back straight. IF i had 2 or more guys behind me we made a second line using side draft off the inside. That is much the case in real life. The more cars in aline the faster that line is going to go, but then there is a loss of real estate due to more feet being run around a track on a high line. iRacing it's too easy to get side by and make the outside line work. They need to tune their aero a bit more in my opinion , but it's pretty close where as VHR is a little far. NTG is an acarde game designed to make it fun , no matter where you are on the track. I've even run the wall line and was able to get a jump, and that doesn't work anymore in real Nascar, that was so 10 years ago. I've yet to test it all in 2013, am hoping to have a server up by the weekend so that we might be able to and do like a non points special with it ( it's been hinted that i should make a promo from various people associated with the VHR development) Now as for last night's race. Sorry it went a little longer and i appreciate everyone hanging in, as always Daytona will be our longest race of the season. I think it was a good race. We had some great battling and action going on and yes the low line was the preferred way around but i found I was able to work my way back to the front a few times with jumping at the right chances (remember too, between Spazcar and WRL on the Arca Sim , i've already got like 500 laps in at Daytona this month- very on par with you V8 guys and your practice regiment). I also listened to the field and what was going and that the reason I tried running off the yellow line down the back straight so guys behind can have a peek at the turn in line. That maybe be something we need to consider enforcing for the larger tracks, One groove above yellow is the line and no diving under and passing under the guy front going into to the corner type of thing as a curtoues type thing. We'll dial it in. Otherwise though it was a fun a time as it's suppose to be ( sans a few comp glitches for some guys ) Last night was a recordbreaker for Spazcar. 19Drivers entered!!!( and we were even missing a couple of folks) Thanks so much guys for the participation! Means a lot to me and I appreciated the interest in the series Congrats to Jeff on the win and securing the pole for next season Daytona in the Cup series. Looking forward to next weeks event at Infineon. Tune will be on the server by tomorrow for you to practice with. Thanks again everyone.

I'm still not over my technical difficulties last night . Even with that I had a blast!! Thanks for hosting Spaz and congrats Stinky on the win. You can return the favor by giving me your set up for the V8's bud!!

You can return the favor by giving me your set up for the V8's bud!! I'm still not sure how we didn't wreck when Boza appeared out of thin air right in the middle of our tight 4 car pack at the back.
