Was good fun indeed. I enjoyed both races, fighting with Jason specially, who is quite good with those V8s. Im sure Boza may be the man to beat on those cars, if he prepares for the races...as is proved with his previous performances. A real shame dont have Jeff on track, as he was very strong.
Im liking those cars, although I still waiting we go to more a open and fast arena, to really test it and strech their legs.
Thanks Jason!

Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals is a top priority GO RANGERS! Haha it would have been but the game is tonight! I figure I'll start hitting the Tums at around noon today. I picked up another side project and need to finish it by Monday morning. Burning the midnight oil.

First time I get 4th ever at GBR and I do it in both races. So of course these races aren't for points Had a great time chasing down Dale and Jim in race 1. I think I could have caught Dale in race two but I got careless a few times and he was able to keep his comfortable lead. At one point he had an 11 second lead, by the last lap I had cut that down to 5.5. If I had kept my laps clean I could have forced him to burn up his softs. I was on hards and could tell his tires were getting worn out. I was able to work those hards the entire time without having to worry about the consequences. They satisfied me the entire time and I was pleasantly surprised by how long they can last. They really seem to be able to go all night long, which I really enjoy. I know some guys prefer the softs but for me the hards are the best, the harder the better! I am also really enjoying the forgiveness in this mod. A couple of times I got a little wide and got a wheel in the grass but instead of it spinning me I was able to let off the throttle and save the car. Previous mods would have had me spinning like an ice skater at the olympics.

It was some great racing last night. First race I was pretty much all alone on track after the first few laps. I lost touch with Dan and the guys up ahead and just maintained my position. Second race was a little better. I got a good start and was within reach of Dan, then he had some problem and I got by him when he pitted. I moved up to 5th and held it till my pitstop. Came out in 6th and got back up to 5th and finished there. I really like the feel of this mod and hope we continue with some kind of series using it.
Can't wait for the next race.

@rsmcarr
Hey Carr. I wonder if you guys at RSM have any clue about release the updates models of Volvo and Mercedes. And maybe an new interior for the Mercedes? I read your saying something about that, so there is a plan, or schedule?

@rsmcarr Hey Carr. I wonder if you guys at RSM have any clue about release the updates models of Volvo and Mercedes. And maybe an new interior for the Mercedes? I read your saying something about that, so there is a plan, or schedule? We do have the model updates in the ToDo list for our modeller, but we only have 1 guy who does it and it is hard for him to give us timeframes due to personal commitments. Currently he is focusing on getting the Ford Ute done so we can release them, the Volvo, Mercedes, modelled brake lights all round and individualized cockpits are next though. Realistically I doubt we will get the V8 stuff done before September despite me bugging him about the models progress. We also have about 4,000 other cars we would love to make but just don't have the manpower. I am slowly progressing on the rF2 conversion, basically only need to work out the tires, HDR and a couple of little sound issues and then it should be good for use. rF2 isn't very popular in the Australia community but we are hoping that if I can get this mod done that it might change that. So that said, I am trying to get this out quite soon but will still be at least a 4-6 weeks away. For those who might be interested, we are running an enduro Sunday 6th in this mod at Bathurst. It is an optional driver swap event of 73 laps (2.75hours-ish) and qually starts at 8pm GMT+10 which I believe is like 4-6am Sunday over there. If you are crazy enough to be awake around that time of morning, you are all welcome to join in.

Goddamnit! How did I not see this. I didn't think we had any races for a few more weeks, so I was focusing on some house work all week. I even took the day off from work... I love that track too.
