I renewed for a month to try things out and noticed if i ran vsync the game stuttered, once i turned it off it was fine, tho i am avg. around 80-90 fps which almost 100fps less running dx11 comapared to dx9. Gonna try a race in a few mins to see what happens

I've gotten booted out of official races 3 times in a row due to DX11 issues. Even with the fix. It has cost me 200 iRating points. Ouch. It happens when transitioning from a practice session to the quali/race session. The game registers me into the session but has a hang up when actually bringing me into the session. Result=the equivalent of dropping out. A huge I ratings hit. Switching back to DX9 until they fix/patch it. A shame too because the game runs so smoothly with DX11 and Scott's fix. That is a known problem with DX-11, I had it happen to me also. You can still use DX-11 though. Just don't go straight from the practice to race. When you get the notification that the race is starting, quit back to the main page first, then join your race. I have talked to other iRacers and they said doing it that way always works.

Todays patch looks to have sorted my end of racing crashing when exiting and overal is running really smooth in dx11...i am impressed! Also sorted my low fps as iracing capped it to 85 once i checked no limit i gained another 100fps, no tearing and looks great running on max setting x4 aa + x4 sparsegrid @ 3440 x1440p I just may have to extend my 1 month rental fee lol

I have not been using the service much in the past few years but they have impressed with recent updates. I still have a list of things they need to implement but they have made progress. Need time of day transitions and tire flat spotting as examples.

Need time of day transitions and tire flat spotting as examples. The time of day transitions should be coming this year. The biggest hurdle was getting DX-11 implemented and working. It is partially implemented and starting to work now. Once it is fully implemented and working as intended, it will open up a lot of other improvements. Day/night transitions is very high on the list.

Yes Troy, very good points you make there. Now is a good time to reconsider iRacing. The progress in the last year alone has made it my go to SIM.

Kurupt, would it be possible to see a photo of your monitor from your POV. Maybe as you sit at your rig. I'm curious how it compares to triples.
I'm going to see if there are videos on you tube now.

What a beautiful monitor but man, its expensive - $1350!!! I was able to upgrade my triple monitors recently from 24 inch old Dell monitors to 27 inch brand new Dell monitors for $250 each for a total of $750. There is no question that the 34 inch monitor is much higher quality than my monitors, particularly the 1440p resolution and Ultrasharp clarity. I personally cannot live without the triples particularly for oval racing. Being able to see to my left and right is now essential, I could not live without it. For road racing its not as critical, but still helps greatly with the immersion factor.

I got a discount through work and paid just over half of the mrsp which a big chunk was covered by the selling 3 24" monitors and stand I do miss the right side mirror at times but I've gotten use to it. My next monitor upgrade in the future will most likely by a VR but I'll need to try it first and the price needs to come down
