So I got to thinking about how the LMS & ALMS typically have support series traveling with them. We can do that to. So I'm testing the waters for a Porsche Supercup support series to be run the week before Kelly's Enduracers event. The tracks will be the same track that is scheduled for Enduracers (no new track to learn), and will follow the Supercup race format of a 30 minute sprint race. The sprint race format should allow for scheduling around F1Fan's iRacing event if there is interest. Mod for the series would be PCC2007, www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=PCC%202007. This likely wouldn't start up for a couple months or so...until I get the office set up and have a second computer running for a server (and learn how to set one up), if there is interest. Just gauging interest. I love these cars and am itching to use them. I've bounced the idea off a couple people last night and they were interested. So testing waters from the masses.

As far as scheduling... the week before Enduracers works well. That Wk 4 iRacing event is an extra one.
Sundays Wk 1 - Enduracers Wk 2 - iRacing Wk 3 - TCM Wk 4 - empty (now an extra iRacing event)

Figured with the 30 minute sprint format, you'll still be able to get your iRacing jollies on too.

iRacing is at 9 AM but we do quite a long practice (60 min). If the Porsches started at 8:30 sharp I could shorten iRacing practice and start that at 9:15. Is poll option #5 for Hawks?

Hehe. Yup!
I'm pretty flexible on the time. It depends on if there is even enough interest. Porsches have unique handling characteristics that some people either don't like or just plain can't come to grips with.

I would be in that category. Driving these is always a challenge for me to say the least. I am willing to give it a go though to support another series.
Cheers!

Another thing I'd like to try to do with this is embrace the team aspect. Most of the entries are part of two car teams. I think it'd be sweet to have 4 pairs of cars ripping around the track.

BTW, July is a 5 Sunday month... so we could easily do a test event on July 29. I can host if you're not ready by then.

Hmm I hate Porches with a passion, but I love racing, and as love outweighs hate I'm in. Just pity the poor soul that has me as a team mate

Ha..knight..you and I should join teams...I loathe Porsche..we could paint the cars with no Porsche symbols ans everything and then race each other at theback and see who can inflict the most damage to each ..being mindful of the leaders passing us ofcoursee: p

That's a deal Spaz, the "Anti Porsches" team...No idea how the hell you paint though, seems awful complicated from what I've seen.

I am very interested, me I love Porsche. All these series' that are available will make the time commitment a bit burdensome for a few of us. Don't get me wrong I love racing but there has to be other parts of my life too sometimes, am I right? At least I think that is right?
