So I spaced that LiveRacers would record my time whilst screwing around last night.
I ran an 18.2xx while running w/ Hawks and them last night. Ignore the 10.xxx shown on LR.

No worries. That may be the case with Tenbearzz too. I saw him in a GT2 car tonight but his time on LR is for a P2 car.
Had a great groove going tonight in practice. Mosport is so much fun. Great to see Vonkiller out ripping up the track as well.
See everyone tomorrow. Don't forge the time change in NA.

Thanks everyone!
It was great to see a good grid for today's race and I hope everyone had a good race. Nobody dropped that I saw so that is a positive.
I had a nice back and forth going with Knight... he reeled me in on the corners and when I slowed a bit to let the other prototypes by but I could out drag him on the straights.
Tony gave me a heart attack in Clayton corner on lap 38 when he spun off and came back onto the track spinning in the air and I did a bit of an off track excursion to avoid.
Next up is Kyalami '79.

congrats boza and all the winners of the race it was a good race....... one thing thou? in the beginning everyone was racing there line. mid race everyone was giving alittle. end everyone was giving up there racing lines to the fasters cars lol!!! i think its awsome that we have so many giving drivers. But the P2 cars can pass any where. you dont have to give so much.  ;D |

Yeah man that was fun, I had done what i could to balance down-force and top speed but my lump is all torque and go too far and every corner is invitation to disaster, but it's a great exercise in racecraft  |

But in general the P2 cars will get by eventually ... but I can definitely understand, when I race Historics I am often paying more attention to getting out of the way than to where I am actually going |

Agreed! Race your race and if a P2 car comes up on you in a bad spot, don't go off track or screw up your race to let them by. Just hold your line until there is a good spot and they will overtake you there.

The faster cars did a great job early on. Later in the race, they started overtaking in more dangerous spots, but overall everyone did a great job.
I got a little over zealous myself late in the race trying to pass Von in a bad spot and I paid the price.
I really enjoy this mod and the multi-class dynamic. Nice to see new guys Von, Rusty, Bear and Rich on the track.

I still can't believe I blew a tire and wrecked. Usually I wreck then blow a tire. Fortunately I went off at the last corner and was able to cut right across the track into the pits. I was thinking I might be able to make Hawks sweat a bit, since I knew I couldn't keep pace with him. But alas, it wasn't meant to be.....yet again. Still had fun. I love this mod.
It was awesome to see the turnout for this race. ;D

I did mostly let folk by with a lift, or getting off the racing line...unless I was in one of the many battles with Kelly...then I just concentrated on my race and to hell with the guy trying to pass, that was his problem. I like the fact that in an hour and a half of racing I had no more than two light taps due to a misunderstanding of which side someone was to take me. I had the devils own job at times as I was only faster on corners, but come the straight I was hard pushed to reel in even the slower cars, I think it was Lawyer who after a couple of laps of me sitting on his rear unable to pass him on the straight let me go because I was "Making him nervous" LOL So long may GBR races be populated with polite and generous racers, it's what marks out this club as one of the best and most fun places to race |
