OVERVIEW
GoneBrokeRacing (GBR) is a mature group (most members are over 30) of sim racers. 90%+ of GBR members came to us from 2O4F, where many are still quite active. GBR centers around the biweekly V8 Supercar series run on Wednesday evenings. We are a social group, and that aspect is emphasized by the required use of TeamSpeak for interaction w/ other members during events. While we like close tight competitive racing, "Win at all costs" mentality is not welcome nor tolerated. In recent months, GBR has expanded w/ additional series' being run, Alternate Wednesday Series, and various monthly series and most notably a partnership w/ SPAZCAR. GBR currently operates at the direction of a board of 5 Race Stewards/Directors: SeahawksFan, helios16v, F1Fan07, Whitewolf & spazterian.
HISTORY
GBR was originally formed by on a whim while I was running w/ 2O4F in Forza 3. I would be the sole member for several months. During the summer of 2011, Seahawks would introduce me to rFactor, and a few of us from 2O4F would start dabbling in for fun. In October 2011, Tony Diamond would become the second member of GBR as we entered a pair of Ford Falcons in a RaceFactor (Australian rFactor league) series. Early November 2011 I was approached by Seahawks to use GBR as the flag for our little rFactor group, that had just started running the V8s in a weekly series, beginning w/ the inaugural race at Adelaide on Sept 9, 2011. November 10th, our little rFactor group became GoneBrokeRacing, just in time for the start of Season 2. Over the winter, the fields continued to expand as more 2O4F members began trying out rFactor. Fields went from 6 cars on a good night in Season 1, up to a dozen cars being a typical race night through Season 3. Season 4 continued to break records as we saw typical fields grow to 15 cars, and a new series record of 22 entries at one event. During spring 2012, GBR would see it's next biggest change. With SPAZCAR leaving Forza 4 due to issues, spazterian approached GBR for assistance in making the transition to rFactor in the form of the VHR mod. And as such, the GBR/SPAZCAR partnership formed. With concensus of the existing board of Race Stewards/Directors, Spaz was brought onto the board to oversee SPAZCAR related content on the site.
In addition to the internal league races, GBR has gone outside to support other racing leagues. Fourteenbones brought up a historic race series being run by efnetsimracing. Bones, F1Fan & myself are regulars on the Sunday night series. GBR race teams have also been formed at Race2Play with myself as team owner and iRacing where F1Fan07 and Lawyer4Ever have the reins.

Before filling this out, be aware that we are a league primarily focused on rFactor and rFactor-based sims. We expect members to try and participate in our Wednesday series which right now are using: rFactor2/Game Stock Car
BEFORE YOU APPLY
A couple of simple rules to get out of the way first:
- We expect "gentlemanly" racing. Things like intentional wrecking or aggressive chat are not tolerated.
- We are donation-supported. It's not mandatory but please consider a future donation when we announce that server fees are due (approx. $200/yr total is all that's needed to keep us going). We have a dedicated, powerful server on a 250 Mbps connection that can handle multiple simultaneous practice/race servers.
- Server/chat servers passwords are for league use only. Want to invite your buddies to a practice sesssion? Please ask an admin. Random drivers on the server may get booted.
