After discussion with the other Race Coordinators we have agreed on a class change for the Enduracers Series effective immediately.
As we are seeing only a few cars for P2/LMPC and GT1, the decision was made to remove the GT1 class of cars for the remainder of Season 1 and effective for the upcoming Season 2.
Currently the affected GT1 drivers are:
F1Fan07
KRGDark
Smok3y
Ed Durbin
Those drivers have the choice of moving to P2/LMPC or GT2. Your current points will be frozen for GT1 and you will start fresh for your chosen class.
Please post up your new class car choices in the Car Choices thread.
While I love having 3 classes of cars on the track, the move to 2 classes will give some greater depth to the two remaining classes.

No need to panic Smok3y, rather than have 3 cars in one class and 4 in another (P2 and GT1) we can eliminate the one class and either add more cars to the already great GT2 field or bolster the P2 field to make the racing more fun for all involved. Besides, I might get some beer this way!  |

There is a series at race2play using the Enduracers mod that runs just two classes: www.race2play.com/schedule/show/1417They are running the LMPC and GT2 classes. I have not had the chance to run this series to see what it is like. But I wonder if P2 and GT1 would be a good choice for our next season? |

smokey - The LMP cars are popular as we had one driver switch to LMP with 2 more drivers expressing an interest to make the switch thus it made sense to keep the LMP cars and drop the GT1 class. oldslowfred - The GT2 class is our biggest class so running LMP/GT2 seems (at the moment anyway) to be the perfect mix for Season 2.

I went P2 and I see F1 has also posted a time with a P2 machine so you should come too. All I can say Holy Shiznit these thing have grip!!

***NEWS FLASH***
Following the collapse of GT1 in ALMS, Chevrolet & Lamborghini have announced that factory support for the GBR Enduracer Series is being terminated. Existing teams are outraged. Rumor mills are circulating that several prototype teams have been making aggressive offers to lure the now abandoned GT1 teams to the P2/LMPC ranks. Field reporters have seen new prototypes testing at Lemans. We shall see how this shakes out in 4 weeks time. Back to your regular scheduled programing.

The IPB Spartak Reiter Racing Team is outraged at this underhanded attempt to remove their class-dominating Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT from the Enduracers race series. "We have no doubt that the American cars couldn't run with us and that the US teams pressured the race organizer to change the classes and exclude our car".
