It was a challenging race here. I wasn't really on the pace Tuesday night but in pre-race practice I found some good lines and was putting down laps that were good enough for the non-Stinky placings. Once Race 1 started I realized I had a problem... I had the car tuned for corners while the people ahead of me seemed more tuned for the straights. As a result I'd be closing on drivers rapidly at T2 then on their bumper for most of the lap then I'd lose it all between the last corner and T2. With a few laps to go my front tires were toast. Understeering mistakes meant I was gifting places like Santa Claus in the closing phases of the race. Race 2 - no time to mess with the tune so I decided to see where pitting and traffic would land me. Neither was good to me. I lost 1-1.5 seconds in the pits (didn't practice pit entry, slowed too early). Then Hawks and I were nose to tail and using traffic to pass each other. In the end it evened out as I picked the right side passing a lapped car once then picked the wrong side the 2nd time.

Hey guys sorry to bail out but technical demons got me in race two. I had a blast though while all was good and had some fun battles with Tony and Helios and Leadsled who was faster than me but made a few mistakes as did I and we swapped spots in the second race a few times. About lap 17 in race 2 my ffb dropped out and then I was lost on the course, nothing felt right as expected so I pitted hoping I could do a quick reset but to no avail and then I got a stupid stop go for speeding in pit lane as I was farting around with the wheel and no paying attention. I figured I'll just ride it out and limp to the finish but then went into the sand on turn 3 and thought eff it! That was enough for me. Still tons of fun so thanks all.

Hey Brent, FYI there is a FF Reset command that you can map to a button or keyboard. There's another useful command to reset plugins (which might reset RealFeel and I can confirm will reset GID). That doesn't help you now but for future reference... it's there.
I have both mapped on my button box. I use them very rarely but when the FF goes dead or GID isn't displaying (usually you catch this on the grid when the car shifts and the gear indicator doesn't switch out of N) and I'm glad I have those buttons there.

is that for fanatec? or rfactor? maybe send me a pm and I'll look into it rFactor. It's near the bottom of the list of commands in the controller setup screen.

This was a tough and tiring race! In race 1 I missed the first corner and Boza and F1 got by me but I shut the door on Hawks. Ha! I think then, Boza got a small tap from F1 and went off course moving me to second. I followed F1 for the next 8 laps trying to find a way by him but couldn't do it until he went wide in the first kink. I saw that caution flag too Dale, but I don't remember seeing a car???
In Race 2, I did not make the same mistake in the first corner! I took the lead and once I was comfortable with the distance I just paced myself for the rest of the race.
Dale, I was tuned for corners also. I was running a 3.70 gear and had my wing set up at 10.

I saw that caution flag too Dale, but I don't remember seeing a car??? I forget who it was but the car was very far off track in the grass. I should have stopped looking for it when there was no car visible on track. Dale, I was tuned for corners also. I was running a 3.70 gear and had my wing set up at 10. Hmmm. You and Hawks were leaving me behind exiting the last corner. Maybe I needed to adjust the gearing.

In the qually overlay you can see how I entered that corner. I went in wide and just tried to get a good run off. From watching that video, that was where I barely beat Rich to win the pole.

I finally had a good night of racing again, it's been a while. 2 weeks ago, I just couldn't get anything to work and never felt comfortable on that track. This week the track just worked for me. I was comfortable on the track and able to keep it smooth. Wasn't the fastest, but I was able to keep it on the track and hold my own mid pack. Got a top 10 in both races and that is good for me.
