I expect to be really slow here, and probably wont finish, as is my luck with this track in all games.

Just make sure when you do over cook into Spoon that you do not hit my car which will already be out there.

;D I'll be turning my first laps tonight. I've run it a bunch on GT4/5 & Forza3/4, but haven't run an rF version yet. At least I'll have an idea what I'm barreling into, if not the fine details.

Oh, the Boza poles were at Suzuka? I guess I have run a rF version before then. ;D
Yard Sale at Degner! ;D

The official Boza Pole is at Portimao. However when we ran the Alpinas in GT3 at Suzuka I tore off my front right wheel on a similar pole just a couple of laps in.

Thanks to everyone for coming out tonight. Good turnout, lots of close racing, and NO restarts (thank christ!)
I just had an overall fun race. Gave Dale a bit of fun, Pushed helios a bit, battled with Boza. No major incidents.
Congrats to Rich for the win and to Tony (I think I have that right) and Dale for rounding out the podium.
Pack your bags as we're off to Australia and Phillip Island for Week 9.
Cheers!

Fun race. This is after following Kelly for a few laps.. I've had enough of that and start forcing my nose in a few times... then he pits anyway!

Gone Broke Racing by Curves n Combat, on Flickr That WAS fun! My pit crew was ready for 2 laps but I wasn't saying a word, I just wanted to keep you under wraps as long as possible. Sorry about the brake check going into T1. I went in a little hot as I thought you were going to try to come up through the inside but I had adjust mid corner causing you to lock up a bit. Oops! Cheers!

No worries!
Interesting... look at the differences in ride height!
I love how our heads are tilted in that screenshot. rFactor surprises me with little touches like that sometimes.

Congrats to Rich on the win and Tony and Dale for the podium finish.
What a fun race. In the beginning I was in a good battle for 4th with Helios who was battleing Boza for 3rd so we went around nose to tail for a few laps. Both of them ended up going off a bit inthe last chicane a lap apart so was able to clear them. I really wanted to clear Boza and get away from him so I could hear my car again, man that Mazda is loud!
I picked up Pat behind me after his pit and he kept dropping the time till he was right on my bumper, I then pitted. Came out with no one around me till Pat came out after his last pitstop and was about 3 sec back. He really tried to close up and got to just under 2sec. but looked like his tires were going away on the last laps and I was able to pull away a little.
I love these longer races with pit strategy and cars that just graduly change as the races go on.
Speaking of RF surprises Dale, last night in race only or should say anytime but practice when the stands were full of people. All along the front straight and in some corners I could hear crowds chearing and get this........music playing like over a PA system, it was loud enough to be distracting! I've been running number of sound effects at 20, reallly need to turn that down again.

Very fun race. I really thought I didn't have a chance with the pace that Dale and Tony had. I opted for a long first stint and pit with tires and two short ones with fuel only. My tires were still yellow before the first pit so I knew a fresh set would last the remainder of the race. Tony took tires on his last stop and I was able to catch him before our final stop. We pitted together and I finished and took off and he was still stopped. I was able to hold the gap for the rest of the race. Finally my pit strategy was correct. Looking forward to Phillip Island, it's one of my favorites.

Congrats Rich and Tony for the podium. Once again circumstances put me running solo for much of the race (other than that battle with Kelly) but that was OK as I was managing tires. I ran two full tanks plus a splash and didn't take tires at the last stop. That strategy probably kept me out of Pat's reach so I'm satisfied how it worked out. I'm glad to see the new guys settling in so quick. Robb will be fine once he figures out how to stop spinning We allow TC here so don't be afraid to map a button and try out different TC levels during the race. I sometimes will turn it on low late in a race when my concentration is fading. PS: I like what Kelly did with the logo on the screenshot above so I'm stealing that idea. This is Helios' new paint for NAGT over at R2P... since I had it loaded I was the only one that saw it.

Congrats Rich, way to get the Vette in front of those pesky Volvos. It was a fun race for me. I actually spent over half the race running around with others. The early stages I was running with Boza and KJ. KJ eventually got tired of us and took off to find others to harrass. Then was running with Boza, watching Kelly and Dale start closing in. Got a bit of separation during the first round of pit stops. After spin and light contact w/ the wall, rejoined right in the middle of Boza & Kelly's scrap. The 3 of us would run around in a pack for the next several laps until we all ended up pitting for our 2nd stop on the same lap. My pit stop would secure my 6th place finishing position, as knowing I'm able to run a full hour on HCs, I ended up only throwing in 40L of fuel to get it home to the end, while both Boza & Kelly opted for fresh tires. The 20 seconds I gained in the pits would see me through to the finish. Thanks to everyone that came out. I think Dale has all but sealed the championship...unless he manages another DNF.
