Thanks for coming out last night everyone!
Congrats to Tony, Boza and Dale for the podium spots. Boza was intent on breaking up the Volvo commercial that was clearly being shot at Phillip Island.
Aside from being assigned the pit stall RIGHT at pit entrance (which I overshot of course) the race was pretty much by the numbers. Had Helios chasing me the first part of the race and after the pit stop, I had Shawn and Helios chasing me. Good fun all round.
We need to find Fred a new ride for next season though, that Nissan has had issues the last several races and I question its dependability.
The last race of the season is in 2 weeks at Losail. I'll have the server up and download links available by the weekend.
Cheers!

Congrats to Tony on the win, Boza and Dal on the podium finish. Qualy I blew away any times I done before so was really happy about that and thought I might have a chance in race. I totally bogged the start forgetting how to launch the Volvo, so Tony got by me. I slotted in line and the front 4 of us set sail. I was hanging good with first through third and had gotten back up on Dale hoping to pressure him when for what seemed no reason the car just went off in turn one. Glanced off the tires and came back on. So much for that fight. Came in for the pit stop and knew I was the 2nd stall in so was trying to keep my speed up before hitting my spot, when I hit the brakes to haul down the car it snapped around and entered pit road backwards, CRAP! Had to pull into the area at the end of the building by the stairs so I could back up and return to my stall heading the right direction. Had one more minor wide turn after coming out but spent the rest of the race just watching the time gaps back to Pat and up to Dale, it stayed for a long time about 14sec. to both. Great racing with everyone and really liking this series. Now to see if I can pull off running V8's on Wed night and Mustang's on Thursday next week and still stay married.

Great racing last night guys, I really had a blast trying to get past Boza especially. I could only keep my Volvo in Dales side mirrors but not get past until he left the door open between t10 and t11 and I still barely got past. I then tried in vain to pass Boza and even got along side a couple times but no way . Then at the halfway point I picked up a lot of time on my in lap and pit entry and a few more seconds on my out lap as well which was what got me out front for the final 15 laps. Thanks to GBR for putting on another fantastic event, now on to the final race on a first class track that is a lot of fun to drive.

Good race last night. I couldn't believe Boza's pace here and how long he protected the tires. The RX8 was a good choice here. It was all I could do to hold on and try to wait for a mistake. There were a few laps before my tires got hot that I had a few passing chances but once the tires overheated I was doomed to follow. I held off Tony for a while and like he said, left the door open and he got by. I won't say I was totally bothered by that... my silent hope was that Tony would have a little more pace than me and rattle Boza so I could retake 2nd. After pits I was behind Boza again but just like the first stint I couldn't find a way through. With the championshop on my mind I eased up slightly and worked on making no errors and maintaining the gap back to Kevin. I looked at the timing data after the race and Tony just timed the pit perfectly and nailed his in and out laps. I did two more laps on cooked tires and that cost me around 5 seconds then a cautious out lap while fighting with Boza all but sealed Tony's victory!

That was a fun race. Had a good time battling the two corvettes. Made a couple too many mistakes near the end that cost me a position but all things considered didn't feel bad considering I'm an oval guy. Really like the group of guys in the race. Lots of courtesy and good attitudes. Looking forward to my next race at GBR.

Another fun night with GBR. I was looking forward to a great race but that all changed when for some reason I spun braking for turn 10. ( did you bumo me Pat?). Just kidding. I think my 2 hrs of practice before the race used up my mojo. Thank god for Sheldon, he and I seem to get fighting for last place quite often. Looking forward to next season in all series. Thanks for a great place to hang out guys.

Good scraps throughout the race w/ Kelly & Shawn. Lot's of tail wagging. ;D I almost executed a spectacular, outside line, drifting pass on Shawn in T11.....until the RR made the slightest contact with the dirt. Off I went until I wound up in the fence, ass end first. Till next time. ;D

Oh! Off topic but we need to get together with P. Sweeny so we can get his bandwidth priority stuff sorted out so we can eliminate the Romulan cloaking technology he's trying to use. Cheers!

I hung around w/ Sweeney a bit last night, doing some Google Search digging. It appears as though his router doesn't have priority capability. I'll let him chime in with the router #, maybe you guys will be able to turn something up.
