Troy.... I mentioned the slippery feel (in general- what i've experienced) in iRacing makes it "FEEL" like a pc version of FM4 to me, timmies included. It's user perception, but I was also picking up on the point Jason made about real world drivers comments on the Sim. I'm not criticizing or poking fun at folks who are racing there , i was mentioning more the fact that we could be running other series here at GBR that are similiar to what the Iracing series are, but in rFactor...where it's free. But like you said , it's like race2play, it offers compatible time slots for folks with different schedules so that works for some. To be honest I couldn't give a fuck where anyone races on their off time , but if it starts interferring with our planned scheduled events here at GBR and participation suffers because of it, then I get a little disappointed is all. rFactor is not "free." Yes, the mods are, but the hardware to properly run it, including screens, wheels, computers, headsets, etc. are not free. Moreover, to get it properly running, you have to invest what ends up being dozens of hours of time to troubleshoot it. I also have been extra careful about scheduling GBR iRacing events when nothing else is going on, even though GBR interest in iRacing is higher than its ever been. As it stands now, we have two iRacing events PER MONTH. We have dozens of rFactor events in the same time period.

I do agree there is room for both rFactor and Iracing events at GBR. To quote (well kinda) one of my favorite movies of all time, "If you host it, they will come." Sorry, that was pretty lame.

I dont see what the hassle is of running other games and events, if there not interferring with gbrs time slots? I would love to be able to attend more league races but can only jump in on weekends due to working midnites and at the moment that only leaves fri nites which looks like the bmw is coming to a close and sun mornings. Personal opinions aside iracing is quoted and recognized as one of the best sims by many just due to the fact of it beining unrealistically difficult and challenging and if you can get recognized as one the fastest guys there its quit an achievement. Minus my wtcc performance yesterday lol since running iracing my car control and overall skill has raised in other sims, ya its got its issues but what game doesnt? but to compare it to forza iam not even sure how to respond to that I wasnt the fastest guy in forza but i posted alot of top 200 times in the lower classes, and simply got bored and wasnt challenged anymore.....the tuning was a joke, you could do the most ridiculous shit to it and make it work lol and the cars had tons of grip up too b class. The other thing you have to put into consideration with rfactor and attendence issuses is that as great as the game is its closing in on 7yrs same time as FM2 and people get burnt out and bored especially when shinny new modern games are being danggled in your face. Once rf2 is released and some series are up and running will see a raise in attendance iam sure For guys having issues with grip and handling you should send a message to mel G to help you out, he gave me a ton of settings and suggestions for my fanatec gt3 rs and it made a ton of difference with grip levels! i was one of those people bitching about the physics but now other than learning how to drive certain cars i really cant complain now You basically have to embrace the difficulty of iracing to truely enjoy it, if not youll hate it! Maybe cause i live up north and drive icy roads 8 months of the year ive grown accustomed to an icy feel lol

kurupt, I would like to know what settings etc you got for your GT3RS. As I run one too, anything that makes life easier I am interested in knowing about.
Thanks

No no, just Toronto is the centre of the universe. Ontario is some obscure place near Halifax.

If anyone needs setup help for iRacing let me know, especially on the oval side in the Impala B and Impala A as that's what we run most.

If anyone needs setup help for iRacing let me know, especially on the oval side in the Impala B and Impala A as that's what we run most. I just started running those oval B class cars and I like them. If you could post a setup for Pocono in the Setup section, I would really appreciate it. Or if you could give me some tips and what to adjust, that would work too. For Pocono, I'm having a problem getting it to rotate through the middle and then it's too loose on exit so I can't really carry enough speed down those long straights. I also plan to run the A class cars when the new one comes out so I will be looking for help there also. Do you ever run the late models or have any setups for them? I have been running them this season and I really like them. I just can't get the lap times these other guys are running though, I'm at least a half second off the pace and these are very short tracks. I have been trying a few different things. One thing I did was increase the stagger both front and rear which really helps. I also adjusted the ride heights to change the wedge to help it rotate through the corner better which also helps. If you have any other tips or some setups to share, please let me know.

I don't run the late model, just the B and A on the oval side. I just started with Pocono for our league race Friday so don't have many laps on it. I can post what I have so far though. After our league race Friday, I can post a better one I'm sure.

One thing I really like about those series is that they are usually clean races since everyone has at least a B class license. Most people also use the in game chat and communicate with each other.
