could have done this a bit faster (not starting with latest build would have helped)... but is working now. interesting that I can actually point it to my main installs packages folder and just pick and choose what I want from there

I had a blast in these cars. We had tried running a series of them over at 2old2race but if the track is too big, these cars get boring. The south loop was a perfect fit for the Clio's. This was also a great test for my old system using a GTS 450 video card. I was getting between 30-42 fps during the race. I had no issues with stuttering or anything. But, I need to upgrade everything soon. Thanks again for hosting, and the disappearing car trick was an added bonus

Wish I could've made this race but both the kids and the wife were sick for the last couple of days. Hope there is another some time.

I had fun. I was hoping to give Apex (is that his nick on the boards?) a better run in race two but my car decided a triple-twist-forward-flip was a better idea.

Had fun even though I suck. Fumbling through the hud showed I ran race 1 with traction control and anti lock on. I don't ever in rF1 so I naturally took them off. well the tires lasted half the race and my night was over. I'm real concerned now since its obvious I have to change and that means being outside my comfy zone. Anyway - some great racing among Dale, neverend and Jeff for a bit and was entertained by the cart wheels oh yeah - btw - alien Apex is Tony and fellow TUM teammate.

I gotta say that up to qualifying I hated these cars. I was thinking that I'd made a mistake picking relatively untested cars then it all clicked.
It seems that the rF2 tire model is going to force us to unlearn what know from rF1. I could get no grip from that car until I started throwing it into corners and building heat in the tires... then I had far more grip than I was used to and was rolling over when clipping curbs because the car was now refusing to slide the outside tires.
As far as the disappearing cars, I have no idea what happened there. We didn't see it at Mid-Ohio so I'm going to blame the new cars and/or new track. The server was using a tiny fraction of its 100 Mbps upload and the dual-core CPU was never over 10% on one core, the other was at 0%.
It seemed like my crashing was totally realted to cooling. Right now my rig is in the dining room so I turn the fans down (I have a master fan controller knob on the case) so the fans aren't heard in the living room. That's fine for rF1 and iRacing... I forgot that rF2 drives the video cards a lot harder.

Fun race last night guys, funny how certain mods seem to suit some people. At times I really had to push to maintain a 5 second gap to second, especially Stinky in race two. Then his tires must have gone off so I could look after my tires more. Perfect track for these Clios imo. Aka : Apex240

I had nothin' for ya man! I tried keeping pace with you but I was just killing the tires. I really liked the cars and I'm growing more fond of RF2 all the time!

Sorry I missed it again guys. Darn wheel. I took the time I otherwise would have been racing with you to mount my CSR Elite on my cockpit.

Careful of over heating those tires as well, they vulcanise and the tire model has memory so too much overheating and you lose grip
