Congrats to dale on your win. I hadn't ran an oval race like that in years. I now have the bug and would seriously look at running it regular but that would mean I'd have to give something else up. And I'm not so sure I can do that either.
Nevertheless - please set one again down the road. I'll definitely try and make it.
Thanks to my TUM teammates for the push during qually, yep that got me pole. Didn't have the goods in order to win but would of probably finished a little higher if I wouldn't of spazzed pressing the rev limiter. I pressed twice which caught me speeding in the pits. bummed. but it is what it is.
thanks again fellas for letting me race. lots of fun. cheers

Fun race last night and congrats Dale on the win. I had no chance to catch you.
Like Pat said haven't raced oval racing like this in a few years other then a couple of one offs at Efnet. Just for the record us "TUM" guys came from racing NASCAR at another league for 3 years called FMS, they had there own mod and tracks. But then we went road racing after getting burned out on that and they switched over to iRacing.
Anyways fun to try and remember the "Oval" way for racing and thinking. Was trying hard to get the teamates hooked up and drafting away. Would love to do this again sometime and would be fun to join in on the Tuesday night fun. But like Pat said would have to give up something else, don't want to do that right now.

Thanks all. I think I owe the victory to all the clean laps we ran after the first-half jitters got worked out. I was going to be toast if a caution had tightened up the field and I had some of the oval experts on my tail. I got really lucky with my pit. I went in as early as possible planning to protect tires and run to the end and hope that the cautions and other's misfortunes worked in my favour. I have this really bad habit of trying to minimize fuelling time (and subsequent weight "penalty") and it biting me in the ass. I should just take full tanks. Anyway... about 20 laps from the end GID was telling me that I had 20 laps of fuel and at the pace I was running I could see that estimate was going to be dropping faster than the lap count. Lucky for me that I had about a 30 sec gap to KJ so I spent the rest of the race at about 75% throttle and gave up 1 or 2 seconds a lap. I picked up the pace with about 15 to go to protect my gap then all but coasted the last 5 laps. Guys were unlapping themselves like crazy during that period (helped by being on much fresher tires than I was). After the finish I pulled over with about 0.5 laps of fuel left... the car started sputtering after just a few victory donuts! Thanks to Spaz and Smokey for coming up with this crazy idea. I gotta say it worked a lot better than I thought it would with these cars.

Dont worry Greg I'll host another. Im going to do some digging and talk to buddy of mine to see what it will take to "reverse" a track so I can get it going the down under way too Sent from my SPH-D710 using proboards

I'm sure Ian is planning to run another around your schedule Smoke. The toughest thing about running the V8's around that track, was while in a draft you could not see the corner. I even did the old NASCAR shift. (Pull to the left a bit) to see around the car in front, then realized I was on the right side of the car and still could not see. Made for some interesting racing. But I pulled a 3rd out of it, so no complaints...

Damn Tony, running laps in the 13s. That's over 600 MPH (Close to 1000 kPH). You guys were flying low.
