Let's not go all gloom and doom yet guys. The issue with Adelaide was my old hard drive, but other than some choppy cars, we got through it ok once we switched. My hard drive has since been replaced.
They run large grids over at R2P and other leagues, so I'm confident we will find a solution. No matter what, there will likely be someone with connection issues. The key is to make sure everything is working properly and set properly on the server end. I have no desire to split the field at this time.

ya splitting the rooms aint a good thing I think. on PS2 we only had split rooms as 6 or 8 was max for the game per room. plus you miss out on all the incidents, battles, jokes etc

Also, do any of you guys know the folks that run the R2P servers? Maybe we can talk to one of them and see what type settings these use for the larger fields. I know this guy that has run over 300 races at R2P. Maybe he knows someone there who can help us out.

Would it be possible to schedule a time for all of us to connect for 10-20 minutes one night before our next race? Maybe this weekend? Just to get some troubleshooting going and rule out if it was in fact the track and not a server/hardware/network issue. If we could all login and run a quick 5-10 lap test race just to see what happens before race day.

I had the same thought Jimmy. All I'm left with is that we had the bad luck of using two bum tracks in a row. We had very similar issues when we ran Adelaide in Season 4 then the rest of the season was fine.
I'll raise it with the admins.

I can fire up my server this evening if enough guys are around or anytime this weekend. I will be busy during the days, but evenings are fine. I truly think we need 25+ as that's when we start running into issues.

I truly think we need 25+ as that's when we start running into issues. Keep in mind that several of us are running Historix tonight at 7:00 pm PST. You could grab us after the race and we could jump onto Hawks' server. Tomorrow night and Sunday night also look good for me.

Next Wed before DRM may be the best option as we know you guys are available on Wednesdays.

Dale, I mentioned it earlier but remember the same thing happened in RF2 during the exhibition with the clio's. And we only had a few drivers then. Not sure if these are related but who knows. Stupid computers!
I should be able to hop on tonight. My wife's school had field day today so she will probably be asleep by 8pm tonight. I will be doing some practicing for my BTCC race tomorrow, but I will check the V8 server for activity and hop on if others are there.

Yeah thanks for the reminder, that rF2 Clio race has been in the back of my mind too and the fact that it was almost the exact same issue isn't lost on me. That one was 10 or so cars but rF2 apparently requires about 2x the data of rF1... interesting, eh?
There are some other commonalities between those two events that I'm pondering.
At this point both Jason and I have made configuration changes so I'm focusing my troubleshooting on rF1.

I also sent a PM to Ryan Callan, who runs the TPS V8SC series. They usually have grids of 30+ drivers, so am hoping he is willing to share his settings and what type of server they are using.

I know its been said already but thanks very much for your guy's efforts at resolving this issue.
Troubleshooting can be a very frustrating path and its always easier to just say "F" it and come up with an easier solution. You gents are putting in a ton of time for our benefit and it just bears to be said:
Thank you!
