Just done a few test laps...This is going to be quite, um, intense.

What a coincidence, that is what my girlfriend said last night! Given the crew we have here at GBR, the racing is going to be tight for sure with the two classes but I'm confident everyone will work together so everyone has fun and we will be able to keep racing incidents to a minimum. Cheers!

It'll be like bees in a can!
FWIW, I've run multi-class here with some real n00bs (@race2play series with 4-5 new guys not experienced with multi-class) and there were only minor incidents. With this group it'll be a piece of cake... you're some of the cleanest sim racers I've driven with.

Holy shit...Did I say intense? That doesn't begin to describe my race, after the second start my FFB went very odd, wheel was simply not responding in any logical way at all, sometimes I could feel resistance going into a corner, sometimes the wheel would fall into the corner, it would jerk left and right on the straight and in the last third of the race my thumbs were going numb from fighting the thing. Still apart from a single 360 spin due to the wheel I kept it between the lines and managed third place, and an hour and a half of fighting the wheel and not one contact, so all in all I am pleased with the result.

My race went *mostly* according to plan. I ran hard tires knowing I could go a full tank of fuel and have lots of tire left. I was hoping I could bridge the difference between the faster folks and myself through fewer stops.
Unfortunately there was a P2 palooza on the last corner in the opening laps and it was a parking lot forcing a few of us to pit early to fix damage. All in all though, finished second so that nets me my top 3 finish I was shooting for.
Thanks to everyone who came out. Congrats to Boza for the overall and P2 win. I'll have the standings updated later today.
Cheers!

Sorry Guys, Didn't get to bed till 8am this morning. Set my alarm for 11am, guess I shut it off.
I was looking forward to this one, my times were pretty close to Chris's and Tony's.

Well my home race was a disaster. Started on pole and was pulling away easy from Boza when coming down the hill there was another P2 on the side of the track and looked like they were entering right at the apex of the 150 MPH corner. I lifted as I was turning and that was the end for me. Came out a lap and a half down to the leader, just as I came out. Saw Boza in my mirrors and started to push after a lap but he stayed with me. Not wanting to get another drive through for ignoring the blue flag I let him past only to find out I didn't have to. Drafted him back down the straight and blew my engine on the downshift...LOL Oh well see everyone in Mosport

I had a horrible race. Yes, it was frustrating that I nailed Dale when he spun his car, but I was able to get that damage fixed. The much bigger problem was the black flags for speeding on pit row, even though I was using the limiter each and every time, until I figured out that the top speed, 28 mph, was higher than the speed limit, 24 or 25 mph. By the time I cleared the last black flag, I was mentally out of it. I am surprised I made it as long as I did. The final straw was getting distracted by my wife, which resulted in me hitting the wall again and ultimately blowing my engine due to overheating. Oh well, I really cannot criticize problems like this with rFactor mods. My total investment in rFactor totals $20, everything else, including all mods, has been free. Therefore, I simply cannot complain.

After you left I found the cause. Depending on your gearing and selected gear, the required RPM for the limiter was below idle speed and the pit limited speed was impossible to achieve. When I drove through the pit in 1st gear, GID displayed green lights (meaning I wasn't speeding)... when I shifted to 2nd the car's speed jumped up a few km/h and the GID lights went red. Back to first - back to green.

Craig, were you in first or second gear?
Those of us that didn't have any issues had been using 1st gear. The pit speed limit is so low, that idle in second gear is likely too fast. Just something to keep in mind next time we run here.
Decent showing for my inaugural appearance for Team Oreca & Playstation Saleen S7. My race started off ok, aside from the spin when Hawks checked up in front me due to traffic resulting in a spin and medium damage to the rear of the car. Running my own race after that, and ended up leading a fair bit of the middle of the race. I was in a position to retake the lead after Hawks made a splash, but a couple costly spins (one I lost probably 20 seconds waiting for cars to go by before I could get turned around) late in the race ultimately cost me any chance of catching him.
With the head cold that hit me Saturday night (sinuses felt like they wanted to explode), I was wiped after the race. I actually ended up not racing any other events for the day. I felt miserable all day.
Congrats Boza, Hawks. It was a blast as always. I freaking love that Saleen.
