I loaded this mod up again at the same track and was getting much better frame rates than last night but it is nowhere near what I get when i run the v8's. With the V8's I am up to 180 fps and getting as low as around 150. The DRM at zandvoort I am getting up to about 75 and down to about 55. I ran a race with 9 cars all different models and it was running smooth so I don't know what was going last night. Computers!!! amirite?
I also loaded up silverstone and getting the same low fps so something about this mod does not like my computer.

Yeah I fixed it. I added +fullproc +highprio to the shortcut just like i have for the V8's and BTCC mods. Forgot all about those and now the DRM runs 100+fps for me.

Nice. The DRM models are pretty high res. That definitely helps.

Ah, I've been using +fullproc for so long I forget to mention it to people. +highprio doesn't do much for me and I figure it's best to not mess with thread priority if I don't have to . YMMV.

I also just ran the 4gb patch on the .exe for the drm mod and now i am getting up to 180fps!!!!! I haven't loaded any mods in a long time and forgot all about the 4gb patch and the +fullproc and +highpro stuff. Glad to have that sorted in time for the next race.

Two good things about Windows 8:
1) Disable desktop composition is either automatic or doesn't matter (the option is gone and there's no performance loss) 2) There is an option to hide notifications for 1/3/8 Hours... I'm not sure if that helps with all systray pop-ups minimizing rFactor but it can't hurt!
