Spazcar is intended to be a fun yet competitive points based series, just like everything else here at GBR. Ethically we promote many of the same general rules as to what is laid out here at GBR and the overall theme of the series is sportsmanship.
We all know that rubbin is racing, and you can expect that to happen in this series. So please be sure to bear that in mind if you find yourself on the receiving end of some hard fought racing. If it's not your style, then please take some time to honestly consider your participation. On the same token, it's not a demo derby and deliberate aggressiveness will not be tolerated. So think about your actions and their consequences out on the track and respect your fellow driver.

Points System

Currently considering same format i used over on forza , however I may try to adopt what is being used on the V8's This section will be updated by Season Opener as to what the values will be.
Bonus points will be awarded for leading a lap (at the start finish line only), most laps led ( if i can secure the data), and anything the officials deem point worthy. This could be acts of sportsmanship or the wildest wreck...

RULES

We will follow the GBR rules guidelines for the most part, with the understanding that this can be a contact sport to an extent and reporting incidents should be done to the officials no sooner then 24 hours. That will be what is considered a "cool" down period. After that point if you still feel you were wronged in anyway, please submit , via PM a description of the incident in question and lap number(s) involved for us to review.
An inquiry will be made of said incident and ALL decisions by the Officials will be final.

All in-race commands by the officials must be followed. Cautions, poor sportsmanship etc will be called out and penalties can be assessed on the fly.

"Open Mics" may be asked to switch to keyboard prompt on teamspeak as this series has a very active spotter and it can get to be distracting to other drivers. If you are asked to turn down you mic or switch to "push to talk" you are expected to do so without argument.

Additional rules can/will be added as the season warrants.

Cautions: Remember in a caution the lead car has control of the speed to the line when green is called. You CAN NOT pass until YOU cross the line

Penalties

If you are found to be maliciously at fault for a racing incident, this includes rear ending an opponent as it is your responsibility not to, you may be subject to penalties...remember there are NO brake lights in these cars.

These will range from:
1) in-race penalties of being moved to the rear of a pack up to a stop and go penalty.
2) Deduction of points. Anywhere from 1 - 11 points can deducted depending on incident.
3) Repeat offenders may face a 1 - 3 race suspension.
4) Repeat offenders will most likely be banned from competition
5 ) Technical Penalties will be points based only when applicable

Come Join the Fun

This series is aimed to be a fun competitive alternative to other series within GBR. It won't be all about ovals there will be road courses as well so as offer a little bit of everything for everyone. Our season will vary in length depending on the series, but will always rotate through IROCS, Trucks, Nationwide and Cup cars.
Spazcar will also be open to anyone, as it always has. There may be non GBR members involved and Spazcar servers will carry their own separate password (from the other GBR servers)at the start of the season.

All tracks are ARE included in the mod, so there will be no additional downloads.

Default setups will be used for the IROC series, unless otherwise indicated.

IF i'm not running dual time zone events like i was in forza, any of the listed nights in the poll work. So thought i'd see what was better for folks.

I would really like to do this series eventually. I can do any nights except Sunday and Monday. Those are Husband/Wife nights as that is her nights off from work.

it's looking like Tuesday night is going to be the Spazcar night...I have had serious friction the final season over on Fm running monday night , but that was more cause i was running dual duty (hosting 2 time zones)

I downloaded the VHR mod and its working. Where and how do I get the tracks? What tracks do I need?

I installed the VHR mod on a rFactor lite install. How do I tell it where the tracks are if I put them in my main rFactor intall folder?

The tracks should all be there. Make sure you grab the IROC, Nationwide, and Truck series add-ons as well.

To avoid confusion and problems spazcar will strictly use the tracks from the vhr mod only. That way we wontt have to worry about what tracks work or what versions to deal with. It has 3 road courses to our disposal as well as all the ovals so that will be good.

I have no idea how to find the tracks. I installed the VHR mod over a rFactor lite install. I can see all the cars, but I only see one track.

In testing mode you cantt see select tracks from the list on the left?

No, the only track I see is Toban. I changed my config.ini file now to point to the tracks directory of my retail install of rFactor, but I still don't see the extra tracks which you say we are using for the IROC cars.

Oh OK..I dont think it installed correctly...reinstall it using the stand alone option...then copy your exe file from the lite folder into the stand alone version...you can text me at 509.438.5475 if you have nay more questions.. sorry cantt ump on teamspeakk at the moment..that comp is encoding a DVD for the wife and imm rendering graphics on my main one

Soon as we get the tracks figured out i'll post the season...Would like to do a shakedown test soon as well... I gotta get some promo footage
