I still have a pic of his car in my PB account. Wheels are black on the one he chose if that matters.

Looks great!
I'm having an issue getting Blancpain to see my custom skin as an available skin just by dropping the required files into the same folder as the root car. I had to do some funky stuff with folders and .veh files to get the mod to see my skin as a choice which I think might bite me in the ass if I try to join a server.
PM me what you did if you don't mind?

Kelly, in the vehicle's folder you need to create a "Skins" folder and place just the DDS in there. That is what I did with the ones I tested from Driving Italia.
Also, I haven't tested but the I think the Window DDS should go in a Misc folder inside of the Skins folder. Don't use the VEH files from driving italia at all.

Ok I will give that a whirl. I didn't use a skin from italia. I copied one of the existing ones for the Aston and changed the name to my custom skin name.
It worked but I knew it was going to cause issues hence my questions.
Cheers!

Ah okay. But should be the same method.
One more thing... Many of these cars have some severe sight issues due to the window banner being solid. I think modifying the window DDS, the alpha channel specifically, may fix that. I know the McLaren is pretty bad. If that is what is keeping guys out of the other cars, this may be a solution.

Ok that worked. Skins folder with the car dds and a Misc folder with anything and everything else.
Cheers!

Not sure about the other cars Dave, but the BMW's window banner is part of the body file, I did not have to do anything with the window file. All I have is the car/paint .dds file installed. I could not get any of the extras such as wheels to show up. I even used a Misc folder, and nothing changed.

Figured out the wheels on the BMW. The templates has black as extra8 and silver as extra6, but no matter what color you want, it has to be extra8 in the file name. This is only on the BMW, have not tried any others yet.

Dan, I haven't played with it but the windows file for the MB had the alpha channel creating a solid banner. I don't mean to change the design, just the opacity.

Yeah, I got to looking, and the BMW is the only car I've seen that dose not use the windows for the banner, it's part of the body. I have not looked at all of them yet.

Looks sweet Kelly, If you could, make sure your banner fix gets put in the skin pack so all the cars use it, and everybody gets it.

Thanks!
Right now the banner fix only applies to the Aston Martin. I'll look at the other templates and see what they are like but I think its going to be hit and miss.
For those not in the painting loop, the Aston Martin uses the core car banner even if you paint custom window banners and name them, place them, etc. What I did to fix the issue was to remove the number from the base car banners from both the #89 and the #107.
That way the "Blancpain" stays on the window banner but the number is removed. All the painter has to worry about is painting the actually car skin.
Cheers!

Where is the base car banners? I was able to get the SLS to recognize a new banner. I got it to change the banner to a tint but it looks tinted on the outside only, not the inside.
I actially just realized there is a skin I want to run in the McLaren (with some mods) but i can't see shit out of that car. I really hope I can figure out how to make these banners translucent/transparent like some of the 911a
