That was a blast!! I don't know why, but I like the longer races over sprints. Sprints let the guys who can go really fast for short races get out front, where as the longer races let us slower guys(Meaning myself) use a bit of strategy to make up for speed. Not that it always works... But there is a chance..

That was truly a great challenge Gents. Great event. Shame we didnt had more drivers, but I think 14 is ok. I hope we can mantain that 17 or so drivers, I really do. This series deserves. I love this track with those cars, so the Win makes me very proud. But this time was far from easy. In fact it was a very tough one. I did Pole Position with a very good time, and kept my lead after Eau Rouge. But arriving that Esse after the big straight I think Caleb made a mistake, and was a big mess. He hit me quite good, and there were more cars involved by the looks of it. I know Caleb from Efnet and I also know the usually he is a very consistent and clean driver, so this was one of those things that can happen to anyone. After that I was down to 12th or something, and my car was not the same. Fortunately to me it wasnt that bad, and there were 89 minutes of race to chase a recovery, so I went for it. Was huge fun. I chased everyone, did a few overtakes on track, and got lucky with other having problems also. My main oponents were Jeff and Rich, and it took me a while to get close to them. Eventually I got Rich at the Bus Stop chicane and started to gain on Jeff. From that point I knew that despite my accident, I was in contention for the race. The strategies played a big role this time, with everyone stopping at least twice. And I think I came up with a very good strategy for my race, that gave me a lot of time over Rich and Jeff. Was a bit risky because I did a lot of laps with very worn tires, but in the end it paid off. Im very happy. This is a great Victory to me. Is not easy do 90 straight minutes at this track with such cars keeping the thing on the tarmac, specially having to drive like I did trying to recover. So this one feels very rewarding!

I was curious so I went and watched the replay to see what had happened to Harper. At first it looked as if he just hit a bump and went up. Then I watched all of his laps and noticed something strange. His car would randomly sink a bit on the track in places. So I went back a looked at the incident and his car sank into the track almost a full third of his wheels when that happened. I watched a few of the others, even the other Ferrari's, and none of them did that. What could cause that to just him?

Sorry for that crash on the first lap Angelo! I was looking forward to an enduro @ Spa, but it was over for me anyways in only a few seconds. Hopefully everyone else had fun.

I saw an AI in a Mclaren and nothing happened at all when the nose sank into the track, BIZARRE . It was fun to watch the race but would have been way more fun to be in it, my favorite track as well. Having qualified 3rd I had hopes of another podium finish and even after getting picked up and thrown into a wall I thought about limping around to the pits. The problem with that was the possibility to get in someones way and an excruciatingly long pit stop. Then there was a good chance I would be launched off the track again anyways. The problem seemed to multiply itself come race time and was having issues where I previously had none. Great racing guys, congrats to the podium finishers and all that finished. On to the next one, I will test at Portugal asap.

I don't think I will have time to make the whole announcement thread until Tuesday but I will set the server up so you can test for issues. Just PM me if you do find issues.

Okay, Gents. The results are HERE. Sorry for the lack of recap and such but I am about to leave for a short vacation and have no time. I will update the standings when I am back and post them up. Also, I tried setting up the server for Portimao in case anyone wants to try it. However, it is called something else on the server so I am hoping I picked the right one. The announcement thread will be ready next week.

I will try to get a video of my launch into the stratosphere at the top of Eau Rouge. I watched the replay this morning and saw what I hit.

That was nuts Jimmy. I was right behind you when you clipped that wall and went ballistic. It actually threw me off, causing me to half spin and graze the wall myself. As for my race, I should've done better. But I let myself get sucked into racing a couple guys early on, and ended up spinning a couple times. After the second spin, I decided to focus on trying to make it a one stop race...if I could stretch the first tank far enough. Ended up hitting the pits at the end of the first stint w/ 1 liter of fuel remaining. Stayed clean for the second half of the race, even holding up Dave for a couple laps before he finally got by me on the run down to the first chicane. Ended up crossing the line in 6th w/ 4 liters of fuel remaining after Hawks had to make a late splash n' go (and a little damage repair after clipping pit wall on entry). All in all, good times.

I was rushing and didn't realize the acronym. Algarve is the name if the whole region. It's the vacation spot at the mouth of the Meditteranian Sea.
