Understood ovals isn't for everyone..I too am looking forward to the touring masters to maybe replicate a btcc type event. But I gotta tell ya..i've picked out the tracks for the street stocks and some of them i've actually raced on and they're relatively accurate. Believe it or not this is going to be really challenging. You've really gotta throw the car in the corner and work the throttle to get it to rotate and come out of the corner without pushing in the wall....now imagine trying to do that with 10 our 12 of you're buddies right in front/behind you...yikes! This definitely is not a turn left...stick..go straight type of racing... I'm going to getto work on some vinyls ... I'd ask that we could run this as the spazcar starter series??? If that ok?

On the topic of Servers (I can't believe I'm asking this question), what are the requirements for a good dedicated server hardware wise. Just about anything that will boot up. One of my servers is using an Intel Atom CPU and not a lot of RAM (I forget what's on there... 1 GB maybe). The requirements are pretty low... the connection speed and low ping are more important, IMO. Windows OS makes it easier to install of course but I've also got a rFactor server running with WINE on a Linux box.

Ok good to know. I might have a box that is suitable available to me. Connection speed shouldn't be an issue but we will see when I actually have a few people pounding it.
Cheers!

Let me know how it goes. I've got a few servers available but I can't commit to being available every Wednesday so it will be nice if someone can host once we get this up and running. If I have time tonight I'll toss up a 24/7 practice server for street stocks to hold you guys over. Spaz... what track(s) do you want loaded?

It only makes sense to have some other servers running with different mods floating around. Takes the load (no pun intended) off the primaries and its only fair. Cheers!

This is going to be harder then I expected, I know nothing of tuning for ovals. Be some good replays though, these things get banged up pretty good.

Im hoping to go dig through a box i have in the garage for my old set up notes. Alread have found a few things not adjustable that we used tinker with on the short tracks but some basis still apply. Right front camber should be set so that your hitting about 1 to 2 degree higer on the inside of the tire then outside after a good run, so like -3.5 i think for jonesville. Left front camber needs to be around +3.0 ish so that your getting again 1 to 2 degree higher but this time on the outside of the tire. Your gonna want the softest left side springs possible and highest right rear. Start with highest right front and work your way down till the push goes away. Somewhere like a 925 i think (it was really late night when i was testing.) The toe in is not real though. So like -.35 front and +.30 rear for rotation (the rear wasn't adjustable in real life) After that it just tire pressure and gear ratio. Think for joesvile i running like a 5.41 for redline at end of straight in third..which ironically gives you 40 in first on pitlane....the speed limit ( no auto speed limiter here) This is based on the BF goodrich street tire , which i'd like to see being used. Hope this helps

Yeah, I'm going to need a gifted base tune. This stuff is foreign to me.
