I was able to get into them all so it is really odd. I think Kelly is driving one of those two as the base car.

Woot! On the plus side, using Dale's complete R8 folder, I can now load every R8 EXCEPT the #16 and #6 ones. So, at least I can race now. John, I don't suppose you have another test install of the mod with your problematic R8 folder? If so could you RAR it and send me a link. I want to see what's different. |

I don't, sorry. But seriously, it's the GBR 1.2.5 install posted on this forum. Run 1.2, loads fine. Drag/drop 1.2.5 in, run the game, the R8 crashes on the spinner.
EDIT: grrr... scratch that, #16 loads fine. It was the #06 that was wrong all along, at least today. So, that's the same as Dale...

Got it, I think. The two mod files in the download thread are not the same so perhaps depending on what's downloaded and then updated with the 1.2.5 patch, you get different results and things may get more complex if one is unRARing one Mirror file over the other Mirror file while troubleshooting.
Mirror 1: Blancpain_Series_2012_V1.0+Patch_1.02+SP1 (FULL).rar 341 MB extracts to a folder of 760 MB
Mirror 2: Blancpain_Series_2012_SP1.2.rar 593 MB extracts to a folder of 1.05 GB

I'm getting frustrated as hell and I am afraid to change anything as to not screw guys up. I should have just provided one link. I Mirror 1 was taken from ptsims.net, which is the Portuguese forum that GPFan used to use for the mod. He's since started his own website Simtek.pt, which is where I got the other mirror from. Shame on me for assuming they were the same! FACK!
John, which link did you download from? Mirror 1 or Mirror 2?

Sorry man, can't be sure, since I did it so many times over and over. For what it's worth, I had the problem with the 1.2.5 on simtek's own site, as well as (at least) one of the mirrors here.

That's fine - sorry for the mass confusion.
The larger of the two is the correct version. The major difference in the file sizes comes from the inclusion of a ~150 MB .bik file in a MovieFiles folder and then the Sounds folder. Since we're running a patch the physics files and thus our competition is the same. I am changing the main downloads to the two mirrors on the Simtek site since they match. The link I sent you over at efnet was from Simtek's site so hopefully you have that version.

That's what I sent you a week or so ago. I just updated the download links to match Simtek's. The proper download would be the one that is ~593 MB. Then the GBR 1.2.5 patch goes over that. That is what I have installed on my machine. I feel like entering a padded room over this lol.
