Wait a minute, we're not allowed to use DRS?....lol Seriously though I haven't been able to duplicate that time again, this is a difficult track for me to be consistent on. IT'S RACDEAY MOTHERTRUCKERS!!!!

Well, that was unexpected. I didn't start practice until last night any my lap times were nowhere. I pulled a single low 1:42 out of my butt but every other lap was 1:43 or 1:44. Then just before quali I dropped the rear tire pressure a bunch and increased the front camber. Got a 1:41.1 in quali, so things were looking up.
I made a few minor mistakes (ran wide a few times and overshot my pits) in the race that cost me about 5 seconds in total but luckily the cars behind me had a few issues too so it evened out. I was hoping for 5th-7th and got 3rd. I'll take that all day long!

That race turned out to be fun after all. After the 15 or so practice laps I got in Monday night, I was dreading this one.
I honestly thought Scott had this one based off practice and Qually times, And Ed was right there in the mix with his lap times.
After turn 1, I somehow got passed Scott, not sure how as I thought we were getting into a big wreck. Next thing I know, Ed is right behind me with Scott just behind him, so I thought we would wind up having a good three way battle going into lap 2, then Ed was gone and Scott was right there. Not sure what happened to Ed, but if he ever catches a break, it would be on...
Scott pushed me just enough in the first half to keep me worried about making any mistakes and looking at my tires.
If the three of us ever get a good run together, it will be intense...

Thanks to everyone that was able to make it tonight. Even though we just had 13 guys, there were still a lot of good battles from the sound of it. Had an epic battle with Boza. Coming out of the blocks, he got a great start (as usual) but I really put the pressure on him the first couple of laps. Had a couple chances, but just could not quite get past. A few laps later he had a slight bobble and I was able to sneak by. Held the lead until we both pit on lap 17 I believe. Came out about 6 seconds ahead of him, but he closed the gap to within just a couple seconds in a matter of 2 laps. With just a handful of laps to go, Boza made an outstanding pass and got around and immediately opened up to about a 2 second lead. With both our tires shot, we slid around the corners with the tail slipping around all over the place. I had absolutely no turn in with about 3 to go and figured I would settle in for yet another runner up. On the last corner before the front straight, Boza went wide and into the dirt. I barely could get the car turned myself but was able to get enough power down to re-take the lead. Final lap was on pins and needles as he was right on my bumper. Final turn he got a bit of a better exit and possibly could have overtook me, but he ran out of gas and I was able to get my first win since Hidden Valley. Great racing and I know I'm damn lucky to get the W. Just 3 races left in the season (I know Jeff is very upset about that ). Next up is a GBR favorite (and the first track we ever raced on), Adelaide!

Am I the only person who did a 2 stop for tires? I checked my tires on about lap 10 because I was missing corners and I had 1 red square left on the right front. So I got tires on about lap 11 and then again on lap 22. finished the race with barely anything left on the right front. I have no idea how you guys 1 stopped this track.

I'm pretty disappointed last night. I was dreading this race when I first started practicing but found some pace and thought I could contend for a podium. a few laps in I was distracted by something (forgot what) and missed my braking point at the sweeper. I lost my front end and spent the rest of the race trying to save as many points as possible. No front down-force meant I was burning the tires up faster than usual. I'll take a fifth considering that big shunt, but man, I wanted to catch Dale in the standings...went backwards instead!

When I get home I'll post my setup in case it's helpful but I think the key for me was not overdriving the car into the decreasing radius corners. rF2 will punish you of you get the tires hot and on a track like this they don't get a lot of time to cool back down.

Thanks Dale. I would like to experiment and see what I can improve.

Next up is a GBR favorite (and the first track we ever raced on), Adelaide! That was an epic race, congrats on the win Hawks and Dan!! Like I said before this was a hard track for me to be consistent on. I had good start and my plan was to take it easy and not push too hard. I was planning on going 20 laps before pitting but that plan went out the window since Hawks was consistently putting pressure on me which led me into making a mistake at T1. Once he got around me I made another mistake at t1 trying to out brake him and almost took us both out. I ended up locking up my tires and went off track and that pretty much destroyed my tires. I had to back off and try to make it to lap 17, my left front was down to 7% by the time I pitted. Once we pitted it was on, I was pushing really hard to catch up to Jason. Once I caught up to him I could not get around him, he was hitting all his marks perfectly. Only way I was going to pass him was if he made a mistake or hope his tires would fall off. Sure enough I think with about 7 laps to go his tires fell off but so did mine..lol. I was able to get around him and with 5 laps to go, but my fronts were down to 22% and 26%. Eventually I would blow it on the last turn with one lap to go. Hawks deserved the win he was more consistent than I was and ran a good race!!
