Well these races went much better than I could have hoped for. I had a few offs (like just about everybody else) but for the most part I was able to keep it clean. During practice I would get frustrated and give up, luckily Dale shared a tune that worked great for me. I want to say sorry about the hairpin incident with dale, chris, and Kurt. Chris had to be 1" from my back bumper and I was worried about him hitting me and instead I split Dale and Kurt and throw everybody off. Not my intention just glad we all made it through (for the most part, I know Chris had a spin) Thanks again for some fun clean racing. P.S. Scott needs to move up a class! He had this track dialed in.

I do have to say that the setup I hit on Tuesday during testing was great. The car was on rails, The best it's felt all season, even though my season has been kinda short. I feel I've taken to these cars well. I can't remember the last time I've felt this good racing and having fun too. All you guys are making racing fun again. I'm so happy to be here.
I hope we continue using these cars in the future.

Glad to hear it Scott. The great thing about this league is nobody is so competitive that they have a meltdown (minus fantomas) and everybody is more than willing to help anybody else get faster. Everybody is willing to share setup, tips and also push everybody to be a better driver. I consider myself lucky finding these guys and I have enjoyed every minute I have been a part of this league.

Good fun once again. Race 1 was another close battle between Boza and I. He has mastered the standing start in these cars and got another great jump off the line. Tried to keep close to give myself of chance, but damn guy hardly ever makes a mistake. I haven't checked the numbers, but it seemed like we were pretty even in sector 1, I would close in on sector 2, then Boza would pull away in sector 3. Rinse and repeat. On the final lap, I was able to get a very good exit out of the hairpin, which allowed me to draft right up on his rear bumper. About halfway down the straight, I pulled to the right and got side by side. I broke a little early, hoping to be able to go underneath him at the final left hander. Boza got a little sideways being off the racing line and this allowed me to jump underneath. Almost identical to how I lost the race against him at Long Beach, just this time roles were reversed. Race 2 started off the same as Race 1. I lost a little ground early working through some traffic, but was able to make up some ground late in the first stint as the same thing happened to Boza. On lap 22, he went a bit wide and and into the grass and had a little spin. This allowed me to get by and get about a 10 second lead. After pitting, I saw I was about 12 seconds ahead. I'm guessing Boza drove his arse off that last stint as he closed the gap to about 3 or 4 seconds, but luckily the laps ran out and was lucky to get the W. Thanks for the great racing man! Gotta give mad props to my pop (TenBears) as he gave me his tune the night before. I jumped on the server with no practice and tried my Limerock tune, but couldn't keep it on the tarmac. I got frustrated and threw on Bear's tune and it worked great. I looked at the numbers and it made no sense, but it was dialed in. One race to go. I'll get the post up shortly. We have decided to change it from a 90 minute enduro to a 2 race event due to the lower number of cars. Thanks to everyone that was able to make it.

Google image searched "group hug" and had to use the most inappropriate one!
As for my night, I had a blast. Race one I was able to get a decent enough lead lead on Jeff since Scott qualified ahead of him and kept him at bay for a few laps. I had nothing for Hawks and Boza so I just worked on retaining third.
For race two I think Jeff got the jump or the grid shuffled since he was behind me from the green. He pitted right at the mid point and I decided to stay out two more laps. Turned out to be one too many as I caught up to two lapped cars, one being two laps down and the other one lap down, which meant that he was trying to get around the other so there wasn't much room for me to pass two cars. I then decided to adjust my pit menu on the back stretch and missed the kink. I went for a ride on the left side grass but managed to get slowed for the turn. I didn't think I'd lost too much time but came out 6 seconds behind Jeff. He just pulled away from me the rest of the race.

Congrats Jason and Scott on the sweeps!! I really liked this track, it's simple but yet difficult to be consistent for me at least. Race 1 felt like I was playing Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, with Hawks on my ass and trying to navigate thru traffic. I have to apologize to some of you for my aggressive passing, Jason was putting some serious pressure on me and I couldn't really let up. He was definitely quicker than me coming out of the hairpin going thru sector 2 so I had to make sure I had little gap going into hairpin. Sure enough on the last lap Jason stayed close to me heading into the hairpin, he had nice run on the exit and made a nice pass going into the left hand sweeper. Race 2 started out the same until I went wide on the LH sweeper and that was all she wrote. Jason pretty much ran a mistake free race, forcing me to push really hard which cause me to make more mistakes. Congrats to the winners and podium finishers, can't wait for Sebring should be a fun race!! BTW Jason.....asshole..lol
