I sure wish I could have been there. Sounds like you guys had a blast. I hope to make the next race.

Man, that was a disappointing race for me. I'd played with my setup and couldn't find anything that would break 1:27, but I'd made a goal to run a clean race and finish it.
About mid-way through I went to hit my pit-request button which is mapped on my G27's H-pattern shifter and accidentally knocked it into 2nd gear as I was in 6th hitting 150mph on the back straight. British engineering apparently does not account for that; so I was done-for right away. Another night ending in flames. Damn.
I really enjoyed the circuit, though, and it was fun while it lasted.

It's true us Texans love our BBQ, but you could wait till after the race... Man, if your having problems getting a tune going, just ask, this is one of the friendliest groups around, and we all will share a tune or some input. We are here to have fun first, and race hard second.

Robb is running the Aston as well. Hit him up for a set if you find yourself struggling, I'm sure he would be more than happy to share.

Yeah, dude... no sense in struggling. Someone will give you a good base tune, just ask.

Thanks, guys. If I keep finding with questions about tuning I'll post up a message or thread here next time. I'd been doing some reading up on suspension settings and was getting lost there for a while tweaking the bump and rebound settings, I think (which explains the # of laps and incomplete laps on LiveRacers this time around).
I came across a setup that felt like it worked during the practice sessions on Wednesday. In the race, I just couldn't keep pace and tended to try to overdrive into the corners trying to find more speed. I think where can probably do best right now is working on all areas of my cornering. I'm inconsistent breaking and in turn-in, and exiting I tend to overdrive it. It's tough to get a 'feel' for the car's balance, though, but that's between my ears. I probably need to force myself to practice more slowly and concentrate on balance before adding more speed.
It's not exactly that the struggle is completely frustrating, though; it's fun sitting down and just working on it. The progress is coming slowly, but its nice.

I'm inconsistent breaking and in turn-in, and exiting I tend to overdrive it. Sounds like my first 5 seasons here. I'm finally getting some consistency in my driving after eight seasons, still looking for that speed though, and I still have a tendency to push to hard at times, but my control has improved 90%. It takes time, but it's well worth it.
