Low turnout of 10 but sounds like battles were all over the grid. I had a terrible night with having to pit 3 times for a new front splitter. If I had been able to be clean I could have reduced my time by at least 90 seconds on pitstops alone. I was able to run a set of Hard tires for the entire race but that really affected my pace because halfway up the mountain I had already dropped 3 places.
Congrats to the podium and of course Chris pulled a Sherburn with 0 practice and grabbing 3rd. See everybody in two weeks for 60 minutes at Adelaide.

I had great pace going into this one (For me anyway), I was giddy as hell when I got by Dale for 4th, I knew he was on a one stop set-up, his usual these days, so I knew he would get back buy me as I would need two stops minimum.
Then I looped it on top of the hill trying to use the curbs to cut a little time, knocked the whole front end off, but it was close to my first pit window. I was so worried about making sure I turned off damage repair, that I actually remembered to do it, and then I realized I should have left it on to get the front clip back on. So had to make another unscheduled stop on the next lap. That put me one lap down to the top 5 cars, and left me only a quarter of the track ahead of the leaders putting me down for two. I drove my butt off to make up some time and positions, but my original second pit window, which was now my third, put me down by two and well back in the field again. I think I still did pretty good with the finish I got, but man I could taste a top 5. But, all and all, I had a great time, and that is why I'm here.

Things started alright till Dan and I got tangled up very early and I hit the wall. Not anyone's fault, just racing. That really screwed up my pit stops. I had to repair the car which seemed to take forever. Came back out and ran till I needed fuel and tires. All went fine. Then when I made my second scheduled stop, my crew didn't realize it was acually my third stop and didn't give me enough fuel to finish, hence I had to make a forth stop for fuel. Just a terrible race for me. But I still had fun. And like Dan said above, that's why we're here.

A light summer time turnout as mentioned but plenty of fun was had by all. I think its impossible to have a perfect race at this punishing track and I had my fair share as well. Fortunately I was able to maintain a decent enough pace and had a lot of straight line speed to aid me. After an average start resulting in some two wide action into T1 and paint rubbing Jeff and I were running flat out for 3/4 of the race and even pitted on the same lap. It was interesting to see how our different set ups helped and hindered each of us around the lap with Jeff clearly running a high downforce set up and myself running very little wing front and rear. We were also on the one stop strategy running the hard tires fuel only. When Jeff was trying to maximize his advantage up and down the mountain he lost his front clip which cost him all his front downforce for the twisties but I'm guessing more straightaway speed. He lost about 15 seconds or so (and briefly 2nd place I believe but have not watched the replay yet) but was actually able to match my pace overall. Jeff being the pro he is wrestled with understeer to amazingly retake 2nd and maintain it without stopping for repairs, impressive and gutsy drive. Congrats to the podium finishers and sorry to hear some had some impacts and pit miscues at this brute of a track. Great driving by all considering some mayhem and George having a technical problem of some sort and only getting a couple laps in was disappointing for everyone, better luck next time buds. Thanks to all for the fun night of racing. Adelaide is not a favorite of mine so I'm going to have to work on that track to not get caught out by the wickedst left hander in all of motorsports.

Jeff never lost second. He dropped back to about 12 seconds in front of me, then started pulling away again.
