Sacré bleu! I had a blast last night. I was not a fan of this track during practice, but after some tweaks I was finally able to get the car to turn like I wanted.
I think I need to start asking Dale and Chris for advice on tire management because after 11 laps in race 2 my left front wast almost gone. No way I could have gone 22 laps on one set of softs. Wish the grid would have been larger but it being summer its always slim pickins.
This has to be my favorite V8 Supercars mod. Looking forward to the rFactor2 version.

Yeah, Jimmy. Look at my lap times compared to yours. My tires last because I'm slow in these cars.

In all seriousness, you need to slow up your corner entry. You run in deep and toss it into the corner like a GT2/3 car. You can't do that with these and expect the tires to live. You've got more weight, more power, less aero, & less tire than a GT2/3. It's a give and take. Or you just need to go faster to give yourself cushion for a pit stop. 3 of the top 5 (including 1st & 2nd) ended up pitting.  |

This track rocks, really.
The event was good fun.
Of course Kurt was just too fast for all of us. In Race 1 I made a small mistake chasing him, enough to Jeff overtake me.
Then we had a nice fight. Eventually he returned the favor to me with a little mistake. 2nd place in the end.
On Race 2 the matter was a bit more complicated! I manage to overtake Kurt on lap 1 in a nice move. And I was holding him off in a exciting battle.
Then he made a move that honestly was not very clean, to say the least. Bump and pass really is dissapointing to me.
But then again, I dont know if my ping was a problem, as soon after that I got an odd disconect from the server although my conection was ok. So maybe this was a factor.
Anyway, all in all I truly enjoyed race those V8s in this track.

He did mention you disappeared from in front of him for several seconds, and when you re-appeared you were behind. Then discoed shortly there after. So it could have been. Sucked to see that happen though.  |

Thanks for the race again guys. Really enjoyed racing this track again.
I apologies if that's what happened Angelo. Had a look at my replay just to check and yeah on my screen you disappeared for 15 seconds towards the end of the second sector. When you reappeared it was just before the line on the road to start the 3rd sector and you were behind me by about 2 seconds. Sucks that you dropped out as i was enjoying the race until that point. Other then the fact im in the land down under, your ping to me was fine and stable around 320 odd. Sometimes shit happens though.
