This looks like a pretty fast track, I don't think I've ever run anything on it yet.

Yeah it's my first time here too. This is a very fast track with some tricky corners. There are even some decent elevation changes.

See you all in an hour, hopefully some will make it tonight. Extremely technical track but eventually when you get the rhythm it starts to be a very fun track. However it will slap you hard in certain sections if you make a small error.

I had a pretty good time running this track till about the last 15 minutes when my sinuses made my eyes cloud over, no place but the front stretch to rub the crap out of my eyes.

If I hadn't had 2 spins I could have a great fight with Chris at the very end.

It would've been interesting for sure. Although you probably would've had a tough time, as I was running <1/2 tank of fuel and SS after I had to make the second pit stop for tires. I probably could've stretched the softs all the way, but I was pushing too hard early trying to keep Tony in sight, then again when I fell back into the clutches of Hooper after I ran wide a couple times.
And then there is the unheard of (for me) completely bungled pit stop. Full tank of fuel, didn't have the tire selection set & I stalled it short of the pit box because I was fumbling w/ settings. How the hell I still beat Hooper out of the pits.....
I did start to enjoy the track by mid race once I started feeling a bit of a flow to it (kinda like CotA, it's there, just takes a while to find it). Particularly enjoyed the tussle w/ Hooper, just a damn shame I had to go into full tire conservation mode after the pit stop.

I was out of this one from lap 1, turn 3. I'm almost thankful that the network monster struck with about 15 minutes to go when I got disconnected.
I was on pace to make it to the end on 1 stop which was a goal of mine, though, but oh well.

A pretty straight forward race for me after a pretty good launch off the starting line. Chris slotted in behind me and was pushing to maintain the gap and he was clearly faster through turn 13 due to my gearing. If I tried to float through in 3rd I would understeer wide, if I banged 2nd I was not able to carry as much apex speed. I found a compromise by trying a different line through there which helped when I got it right but found I was not consistent through there and a couple other corners as well. Luckily I had good overall pace though so I could still control the gap & keep Chris on the soft tires out of my draft Meanwhile I was on the hards and it takes at least 2 laps to get enough heat into them and with all the straights your tire temps are neutralized. Hard tires and a late 18 second fuel splash was again the quickest strategy that helped extend the gap to over 30 seconds after my stop and was back on track. Once again great driving by all and good awareness by the lapped cars, thanks for that. Congrats to the other podium finishers and well done to those that could make it and braved it out on this track. Of course thanks to JImmy for hosting once again and Dale for filling in on the last race too. Imola and Watkins Glen should be fun, really looking forward to the final enduro at the Glen. Cheers all.
