I did laugh at that one too but wanted to leave it for someone else.

How I felt when I saw this post, then when I realized what the video was.

Well, not a nice way to finish the night.
Race 1 was really tight for the win. I managed to stay ahead from Pole, and controlled the race from there. But was not easy...Jeff and Rich were close to me all the time. Our best race laps were close to identical (28.6 for all of us), so the run was about consistency and track position. Great result for me.
Race 2, my start was not so great, and Jeff jumped ahead. After a while both of us broke away from Rich, and at that point was really close. I wasnt 100% on the attack, I was taking care a bit of the tires...as I knew the last 10 laps would be crictical with the wear. I was confident of a huge fight and the chance of win again. But then I was "gifted" with a connection lost in game, although my conection was fine, I was on the TS all the time, and nothing really happened with my modem. So yeah...pretty harsh leave the combat like this...
Anyway...it is what it is...and the race was enjoyable as usual with Rich and specially Jeff, that was racing really well today. Congrats, mate.
Thanks staff. Hope to be there next time.

The same thing happened to me a week ago over at SPAZCAR with rF1, connection lost to the race server and not a single hiccup with TS, maybe it's ISI's match maker server or something. Anyway Race 1 went OK for me, for 2 and a half laps, started with a penalty, could not understand the penalty icon and had to do it twice, then spun it and flat spotted the tires. so 2 laps down, flat spots, I said to hell with it and watched the race from the pits. Race 2 started out with a spin on lap one, good ol flat spots again from the grass of all things, so proceeded to run as best I could with my teeth rattling in my head, had a good time running with Chris and Dale for a few laps, but the flat spots wear a tire faster I guess, because I was out of tires pretty quick, so had to pit and give up the ground I had made up, from there it was hot lapping till the end. But I still really enjoy these cars and rF2. To bad we can't turn down the rate at which it flat spots the tires while leaving the tire wear alone. EDIT: I just noticed I had the best lap in race 2, and yes I'm braggin' about it...

Not much for me to say. Race 1 was just ok. Car felt alright, I just kept missing my braking points and killed my tires. Race 2 was a nightmare. I had a good start, then it started going downhill from there. At one point I had Jimmy catching me up real fast, made a mistake when he got to me, so I didn't fight for the position. Then following him into the T1 complex I went wide and got the wall. Came in for repairs and it was just way to long, so I decided to punch out. No point in going on multiple laps down. Still had fun though.

Got home way late last night...I was actually not sure if I was even going to make the first race. Naturally for me, no practice, so L1 of R1 was my first exploratory lap around the track. Ended up spinning trying to keep up with the tail of the pack in the first couple corners. After that, ran a few laps off pace just trying to find a flow and figure out what gears I needed to be in for which corners. Started finding my way about halfway through the race and started slowing clawing my way back up to Ed. Finally caught Ed with a couple laps to go, but couldn't safely find a way by. I did have a run on the last lap in the last corner where I got inside, but lost the back end slightly which cost me my momentum onto the front straight. Ed held the high ground and drove right back past. R2 was better. Got a couple spots off the start, then gifted those back a few laps later when I caught too much curbing and escorted myself into the sandbox on the outside. Spent pretty much all race battling Dale, with Dan & Kelly in the mix for a while as well. Good times. 5th was far better than I was expecting coming into the race.

Thanks for everybody that came out to race. Glad everybody like the track. For me I wasn't fast enough to keep up with P1-P4 but was able to pull away from P6-P10 so I just spent both races pretty much hotlapping. Kelly decided to tease me in race 2 around lap 25 as went off track on the front straight kink. I was able to get right on his rear bumper for the next few laps but couldn't get close enough for a pass. Was a pretty exciting last 5 laps!
See everybody in 2 weeks in Hungary at the Hungaroring.

I was behind on practice and didn't really find a groove until part way through race two. I was still giving away gobs of time but I think that's just because this was a new track for me and I hadn't figured out the lines yet.

Rejoin is now enabled on the server. If you get disconnected like poor Angelo did you should now be able to rejoin with a car in the same state as you left. Unfortunately, if your car hits something in the seconds between when you lose control and you register as disconnected, you're likely going to return to a damaged car. That's been very rare in my experience though.
