Sorry guys, I made it home in time to catch race two, but after 6 hours behind the wheel, I just could not get in the rig and drive some more.

Had a good time last night even though everybody was concentrating on racing and not chatting it up. After race 1 my right front was at 45% so I knew I couldn't make softs last 26 laps. So I just filled up the tank, pushed hard for 13 laps and got some new rubber. I was really hoping the guys ahead of me ran softs and tried to run all 26 laps and end up pitting late for new tires. That didn't exactly work out for me, especially with guys like Dale making softs last 26 laps and grabbing 2nd place! Also I think Dale was just toying with me and giving me false hope when I passed him on lap 5. Because on lap 8 he passed me with ease and was off like a rocket. I never saw him again!
Congrats to Angelo. This track is to Brazillians as Bathurst is to Australians.

Ha, I was trying to figure out your strategy at that point. Staying ahead of you was heating/wearing up my tires so I slowed a little and protected the tires. That's when you passed (making me think you were on a two-stop) but then my tires cooled off and I managed to start going a bit faster and I think I passed you again when your car started sliding around. Once I got a little gap on you I could drive my own lines and keep the tires cooler.

"little gap" You're funny Dale. You got by me on the last corner, then on the front straight your "little gap" was 3+ seconds! I still had fun.

Yeah, Interlagos is heavely used everywhere for a lot of series, and is a track where I usually go well.
Such a shame about the turn out. Really dissapointing so many guys missing. I hope this doesnt becomes a trend.
About the race: I managed a great Pole Position with a very strong lap time. For Race 1 things were pretty straight forward. Rich did a great start jumping ahead, but I managed to overtake him right after the second straight, and did my race from there. Happy with the win. For Race 2 things were a bit more complicated. My tire wear rate on Race 1 indicated that for me was possible do the 26 laps on softs, of course, taking care of it on the process. I decided to go to hards because I thought that altough slower, they would be more stable and consistent for the race. Unfortunately that proved very untrue. After 10 laps the grip decreased massively. Lap times were going up much more than I expected, and Mr. Jeff on soft tires really had the edge for that phase. We spent like 10 straight laps fighing really hard for the lead, and at one point I was running out of tricks on my driving book to keep him behind me! What a magnificent fight that was. Then...for the final laps of the race, finally the softs reached their limit and the hard tires started to have the upper hand, altough a real handful. Just enough for me to win again. But to be honest, those hard tires are garbage. Maybe a area to Reiza work on. Is difficult think a situation where it can be a advantage.
Anyway...perfect race score for me at one of my home races!
