Love that track. It's been a really long time since I've run it (and it was a rF1 version). It took me into R1 to start finding my groove, but by the finish I was running consistently in the 19s 20s. Feeling more comfortable into R2 I got caught out by Scott running a little wide...and I followed suit which led to my first spin. I think I had another one a few laps later plus a couple off tracks. Finally got my shit together and found a groove. I honestly didn't think I was going to catch Jimmy after I gave him all the gimmies early on. But he evidently felt guilty and gave a couple back to put us in the same real estate mid race. I was hoping for a scrap, but it sounded like his tires were falling off while I was still running steady times despite running a much heavier fuel load than I needed. I gradually stretched the gap to the finish to steal the final podium spot.
It's a shame Dale couldn't make the race. I was looking forward to the points battle going all the way to the finish. I suppose I could "miss" a race to put us all on equal footing again.
And how about that Ed character. Smooth and steady. Can't say slow & steady...cause he ain't so slow anymore. It took me 2.5-3 laps to get around him w/o forcing a pass. Smooth, steady, predictable. He'd hit his marks corner after corner not allowing a pass attempt unless I was willing to make a high risk move (which I wasn't). He finally slipped up and slid a little wide in the double left T2a/b complex allowing me to slide by on the inside. Well done mate!
Congrats to Jeff on the double!
Thanks for the pics Angelo! Cheers.

What the hell is Joe doing in my car!!! I'm going to have a talk with my pit boss about this, someone is getting fired..... Really hated to miss this one, I've always liked the track, but unfortunately I did not leave the shop till well after midnight. But, at least my car made it out..

Great fun last night. Never raced this track before but for some reason felt very comfortable and was able to keep it on the track for both races.
Nice Pic's and recap Angelo.
Thanks for the encouraging words mates.

Yeah, although I dont like this track, was good fun indeed. On my site, pretty enjoyable racing. I tried really hard to beat Jeff, but he was so fast around this place. Race 1 I just pushed hard, and we had a tremendous fight all race long. I didnt manage to find a place to overtake. The only serious try was on the last lap...we had contact, but was fine. Not easy to find a good spot to do a move, specially with the pace so close. Race 2 I tried to save tires for the last part of the race...all was looking fine, but when I decided the push a little harder, the tires faded too quickly. Looks like that at least with my set, this was too sensitive for this track...specially with the wear. Anyway, Jeff had the perfect night...so contrats to him. Hope to see more of us for the last 2 rounds.

I had to make a correction to the points. I gave Angelo second place points of 138 for both races. 138 is for the longer race so Jeff is only 46 points back from Angelo.

Traveling for work messes with my simracing! No need to miss a race... you missed enough races with your crazy work schedule in the past... this is you getting even!
