Start time 7:30 If I can get it setup, we'll do random grids for each race.
Minis at Kansai East.
We'll run maybe 3 or so short races and maybe 7 laps, maybe 10. Maybe 7 then 10...
The idea is little planning, show up and run. Beers are recommended. For the next few weeks, I'm busy with work and prepping my old car for resale so time is short... I don't want to overthink this.
We'll try this small cars and small tracks combo every two weeks for a while.
ABS and TC are enabled for those that want to use it.
This is also a shakedown for the early release of AMS. If we have troubles, we will go back to GSC for future weeks. Game Stock Car will be used until there is a update to AMS that resolves hosting issues.

Well its playoff hockey time and my Dallas Stars are playing Wednesday night. It's a late start of 8:30 for some dumb reason so I am a maybe at best for this event. I will get everything loaded and tested tonight just in case.
Sounds like fun!

420 just happens to be my bday and was planning on going for wings and beer at 7pm mt so not too sure if I'll be able to make this week's event.
As for aids, I use what ever the real life series use and in the mini series they low abs.

Well my birthday is the 21st, so I can make the 20th..  Provided my sim works and I can figure out how to find the server. I haven't used the sim since day one, hate running alone, so wont use it to just drive. |

Looks like this little experiment has come to an end. The server is running, yet has become unresponsive. Back to GSC until Reiza properly implements the dedicated server.
See you all tomorrow for some fun.

Well, I think the only downside is the Steam client thing.
I just had a 1 hour race with AMS in another server, no problems at all...and the server was on for 2 weeks.
Anyway...its a shame.
I have to say that the more I drive AMS, the more clear it becomes to me how much more detailed it is compared to GSC.The feeling is quite a bit more precise, the way the cars behave, tire wear...an so on. Really impressed with Reiza´s job.
Hopefully we can make it happen.

It's funny, because I don't feel a difference in the two sims. I guess it's just me because everyone says AMS is better. I just don't feel it or see it.
Anyways, which ever we use, I'll be there.

I agree, after doing so many club races with little to no issues asides from too many people and not enough pit stalls, I can't settle with gsc now that I have AMS |

Not a huge fan of the Mini, and really tired of Suzuka as it's been done so much in every race title out with the exception of DiRT Rally. But this could be a fun door banging diversion. As for you AMS FanBoys, I'm sure it will get it's chance around here once Reiza figures out how to get the servers working as well as they do in GSC. Kinda weird to me, they change the name and add a few new things and the servers don't work. It's a racing Sim, servers should have been top priority. |
