Ok, looks like we have enough commitment. I've extended an invite to one of my PacMajors teammates, we'll see if he wants to join us or not, which would put us at 6 which should be about right. I know Troy was possibly interested pending our car choice. Our ride for the 24.....

I better get practicing... I don't have many laps in the iRacing version. Is this the car that has just enough power to fight a GT1 on the straight but makes big gains in the corners?

Yep. The Aston I don't think will be too much trouble, but yeah, top end of the Vette is right there.
It will out accelerate, so you'll want to set up passes on corner exit.

I ran a couple laps last night...this thing is scary fast through the Porsche Curves.

OFF TOPIC:
iRacing secured the license for the Ferrari 488GTE car! They also hinted at recreating other Ferrari models. Nice!!

Don't hold your breath...they said the same thing about BMW when they released the Z4...then postponed any further BMWs indefinitely.

Thanks to one of the guys on the Northwest World Cup Enduro team, I've figured out how to do equations using time & duration. So the Stint Sheet for this race is going to look a little different, and will be A LOT easier & faster for updating the anticipated timing for future stints as well as having a real quick check on where we should be for fuel at the end. Let the celebrations commence.

I'll be able to spend more time with the car after this weekend. I'll be running a 24HR Lemans race with the Northwest club in the Aston as part of the World Cup Enduro. Should be...interesting. 2 24 hour races in as many weeks...I think I may have a screw loose.

I will probably be on for little bit tomorrow night (Tuesday) from 6ish to 7:30pm (PDT) or so. I've got an Autobahn race tonight so I will be a bit preoccupied with that.

Track notes for this mornings patch. Doesn't affect me as I've never been one to try to take advantage of off tracks, but if you set up abnormally wide for the following corners, you may need to readjust your line.

Track notes for this mornings patch. Doesn't affect me as I've never been one to try to take advantage of off tracks, but if you set up abnormally wide for the following corners, you may need to readjust your line. I was in a hosted session after the update with a friend of mine practicing for the 24 hour race. I only got the slow down penalty a few times when going wide on the Mulsane corner. There is a cone there and if you stay to the right of it, you will be fine. On the chicanes and Arnage I never got a penalty. You can swing out a little bit, but I never went out far enough to get the penalty. You can also get a penalty fairly easy in Tertre Rouge if you go too wide getting on the Mulsane straight, so be careful there as well.

Terte Rouge is going to be a nasty one as it's common to run wide there if you overcook the corner.
Then you have to lift, lose speed and destroy the run to the first Mulsanne chicane? Ouch.

It's not too bad. As long as you don't overrun the curbing...or at least get back on by the time the curbing ends you're good. I didn't find it to be much of an issue Saturday. Ran 65 laps over the course of the 24 hours and only accumulated 1x. And ironically my 1x happened at Tertre Rouge. Grabbed 5th instead of staying in 4th...and couldn't get the nose to tip in.
