Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy, content is Super Trucks, not Super V8!
On a more serious note now. There isnt a specific rule ingame to prevent you of just ignore the ramps. If you ignore the ramps on the course of the lap, of course you will go faster. My suggestion is: We do a gentlemans agreement, nobody can miss a ramp. And if you do because a eventuality, you either abort the Qualy lap, or in the race, if you gain a position because of that, give it back.

After the Stock Car race Jim brought this up about the ramps. We all decided exactly what you said here Angelo. If you miss a jump you cannot gain an advantage and must give up the spot if you do. I think we are all honest enough that we won't have any issues.

I will take Paul Kelly #37. And if you are fan of Kevin Smith's movie Clerks you will get the joke. If not here is a very NSFW video

THese are going to be a freakin blast. I just ran a bunch of laps with Joe and we did more laughing than driving.
A few tips 1. Let off the gas before you hit a jump. This will keep the truck from nosediving and you will land almost flat. 2. Don't get on the gas too soon or too hard coming out of a corner otherwise you are gonna end up like Ice Cube

Another question: Are we really going to allow ABS and TC to those?! I hope not.

Another question: Are we really going to allow ABS and TC to those?! I hope not. Why not? I ended up turning off damage because if you get a jump wrong you can really screw up the truck. This event is really going to be more about fun since I don't think anybody has ever raced these before. I know Dan has run some truck series in rfactor but that was a long time ago. I don't want somebody to hit the first jump and totally screw up their truck. So if ABS and TCS help keep the truck on the track for somebody who isn't very experienced with these then that benefits us all for this event. We will be back to some real competitive racing very soon so stay tuned true believers!

Well, with ABS and TC enabled the nature of those cars changes quite a bit. Lots of the thrill goes missing. Ah well...so be it. I will race as it should be, and probably will have a disavantage, especially with braking.
Im noticing that for rF2 events we tend to use all the real deal configurations, and for the AMS events usually there are some aids available that shoudnt be there. This bothers me a little bit, being a purist, and liking more AMS.
Not critizing Jimmy, its just an observation, even because is just coincidence.

No worries Angelo. It is definitely a coincidence. I am not familiar with how a lot of real racing is done as far as TCS, ABS, shifting (paddle, sequential, h-pattern) is concerned so I just base it on my races here at GBR.
I just try to make the events as fun and as competitive as possible. We have some guys are fast no matter what car or track we use. We have some guys that are faster in one car but might struggle with another. Since this series is bouncing around between all kinds of different combos I just wanted to make it easier for those not familiar with that car.
When we get back to a regular series (V8SC perhaps) the discussion of aids will be brought up.

I'll take the #31 Simon Collins
These are fun as hell to drive. Easily the biggest change of pace in this ROC series so far. There are about 50 different ways to rotate these cars (handbrake!). The trucks make this track narrower than it already is and side-by-side racing will get hairy. These will be great to race with this group.
Talking about the nanny controls, I was all for them. Then I turned them off. I might be the last one on here that needs to do that, but what I found was that you can really milk the performance out of these without ABS and Traction Control. They'll pitch and spin, and drift--and roll--a lot more, but with such soft suspension and so much torque it seems, to me at least, like there's more feel and control with modulation here than with previous cars.
I was able to shave almost .6s off and increase the lap top speed by about 5Kph after turning ABS and TS off tonight, and I probably need the helps as much as any of us.

These don't rotate as easy as they do on dirt, so if you're having trouble turning, try it with out ABS and TCS. These trucks need to brake traction to turn right.
I take that back, last time I drove these they had way more traction, but that was before the game actually came out as a full release.
Now with low TCS it can and will still get away from you, and it turns like a slug with or with out TCS on, abs did not seem to make a difference to me one way or the other. And if I had known this track was so......boring is the word, I would have argued for Montreal. Should be a fun race no matter.
