What the heck did they do to these cars? There's absolutely no grip at all. It's worse than driving on ice.
I'm not sure I want to even drive these things.

I have to disagree with you Scott. I feel that the grip is good but i did have to really tweak my setup. Initially I was in the 1:25s but after practice and setup adjustments I was able to get into the 1:22s. I dont mind sharing my setup if it helps.
Be sure to try the server. I have the grip set to x2. Maybe offline you track isn't setup to build the rubber fast enough?

Oh, that could explain the grip issue. Thanks for the info.

There was an update earlier today, and most likely the server is not updated with it. Things should be ok in the next few hours, or tomorrow, when Dale have the time.

Ya, they really need to lay off on all these updates. Give me about 90 min to get home and do it.

Fun event, good test. I really hope this Championship can get more drivers. I think there are at least 2-4 more drivers that are planning on running that couldn't make it last night, including a couple guys from efnet (Minkler & Campbell). Good fun last night. Did far better than I was expecting too. Hopped on for a few laps Tuesday night to make sure I had the patch installed and functioning properly. Tweaked on the set up a little bit to get the car to ride the curbs better and called it a night. I was pleasantly surprised in pre-race practice to be up running around the times of Angelo, Hooper, and Potvin. Shocked myself in qual...all I did was take my race set, dump a bunch of fuel out of it, took an easy outlap, then went for it. I don't remember the last time I managed to steal a pole position. Race 1 was intense. I got off the line smartly into the lead, but made a little slip up on cold tires that resulted in a wiggle and some contact with the wall. Angelo pounced and snagged the lead. I was lucky to get it rounded up and slot into second (I think in front of Hooper). From there it was just trying to stay close enough to Angelo to hopefully force a mistake. I had a coupe parts of the track I was quicker through, but couldn't utilize for an overtake. So in the end, I wound up crossing the finish line pretty much where I spent the race...right on Angelo's bumper. Good run mate! Race 2 was a total unknown. I knew I had burned about half the tires off the LF in the sprint race, so I was unsure if the softs were going to last the intermediate race or not. Got a good launch off the line again and notched into first. I had no idea what others were doing for strategy, so I tried to mentally force myself to drive my own race. I knew from the get go that tire management was going to be crucial, so I backed up my braking points and placed an egg under the throttle. I was surprised to see me creeping away from Angelo, thought to myself that he must be on hards and would probably be a threat at the end of the race when my tires were crying out in mercy. I was expecting Hooper or Potvin to potentially be an early threat, as I figured 1 of the guys would be planning on running hard and pitting on the softs. I'm guessing something may have happened back behind, as that concern never materialized. Focused on hitting my marks, and avoiding lockups and wheelspin. With 5 laps to go I had been able to manage a gap back to Angelo, I started thinking I may actually have a shot at the win...if I didn't screw up. Somehow I pulled a rabbit out of the hat and hung on until the end. I really enjoy these cars and absolutely love this track. I have gotten a win here once before in an exhibition race, and the victory @ Adelaide didn't lead to front running pace over the course of the season, so I'm not setting any expectations for myself. But I am looking forward to some good racing in amongst the pack.
