That was a pretty rough one for me, too. I didn't get to practice in advance before yesterday, but got a few dozen in to learn the track before things got started. Jimmy helped me out with a setup that felt pretty good, and was a world of difference from my setups at Laguna Seca and Winton. Even on my clean laps, though, I never found the pace that I wanted.
Hopefully that will change between now and the time we get to Putnam, though. I finally ordered the Ricmotech load cell mod for my G27 and it should be delivered today. Even with the GTEye springs I've never really felt confident with my brake control--especially not in AMS for some reason (these heavy beast V8s don't help). I'm expecting to get a better feel with some more physical feedback than just the attenuation-based brake.

Something to watch for is when you assign each pedal axis, press the pedal slowly and full-range. It seems that AMS also calculates range of motion at the same time. Right after I first got AMS, I couldn't control braking... it turned out that I was stabbing the pedals during axis assignment and it was registering almost as a on/off switch. No modulation at all.

I was not familiar with this track at all but I really enjoyed it. I loved how tricky it was with the off camber corners, blind corners and fast chicanes. The more I practiced the more comfortable I felt and started to get some consistent times. Then along comes Angelo and Ricardo with their 1:25 and 1:24 times making my 1:27 look like a snails pace. I made some adjustments to my tune and was able to get into the 1:26's which put me my usual 2 seconds off of the top guys so I felt pretty good. Both races for me just ended up by myself. Too slow to keep up with Chris and Dale and Joe is still having braking issues. This would have been a really fun with a larger grid.
Might be time to start recruiting new people with so many of our regulars busy with family stuff or moving onto to other interests.

I'll be back if you change from AMS to something else. Just can't get into that sim.
