No practice and about 4 hours of sleep. Need to motivate myself to make this one. Not sure if I’ve run this track before.

Hard, hard track. Something like 5 different types of hairpins all with different braking techniques needed but I wasn't as focused as needed for the track.
The opening laps of both races were great though... lots of door-to-door action with no contact.

Yessss,,, ahahaha As I predicted, it was a difficult race. This track really is wonderful. Extremely technical and great for anyone is starting in SuperV8 and AV in general. It Works perfect as school, because it is quite selective with high, medium and low speed curves.
It was a shame that small grid.
Congratulations to Armando for constancy, the victory was deserved. And congratulations to all who attended.
Lets go to the Glen

Sorry for dipping out like I did.
Truth is, I became frustrated with myself. Overdriving the course, failing to concentrate enough to properly run the course, being embarrassingly off pace. I've just not adapted to these cars yet. Constantly overdriving them, then when I'm not, I'm doing the opposite.
Was tired to begin with...which compounded the frustration. Tried myriad things to right the car for me. Realizing I couldn't find pace even come race time was a bit of a shock. Not my normal positioning at all. Would love to see a decent set, see what the heck it is I'm doing wrong. Currently, I'm at a loss with these cars.
Will try again...but yeah, that's why I left. No use sticking around to be in the way of the faster front runners when they got around to lapping me. Car was highly unstable and I just couldn't do anything with it.

No use sticking around to be in the way of the faster front runners when they got around to lapping me. Car was highly unstable and I just couldn't do anything with it. That sucks, man. TBH, hearing that almost makes me feel better, though, because it sounds like we both have EXACTLY the same frustration in these cars. Every time we run the V8s, I put in hours and hours and literally hundreds of laps in practice trying to figure them out, but I get nothing. Since it sounds like we're in the same boat, let me know if you ever want to try to practice on track together. Maybe two heads can figure something out. Seriously, I'm kind of at a loss, too, at this point. About this last week, I'm sorry for not making it in. I had some life stuff happen right before I was going to join before the race that I needed to spend some time on. Once I was done with that, I had a Windows update go south, then once I got through that, AMS wouldn't start because of a permissions error, then two other problems with two other programs for my Rift stopped responding. And then once I was actually able to get in, all of my wheel settings were gone. After I got those reconfigured my in-car camera was fucky--like I was stuck to the roof and skewed about 15 degrees on it's side. WTF? I couldn't reset the camera or move it by grid time so I gave up. I don't think I've ever had that many computer problems all at once. I'd put in just shy of 200 practice laps and really wanted to give Jerez a shot. Clearly something didn't want me to race on Wednesday, so I dropped and tinkered around in iRacing instead.

Would love to see a decent set, see what the heck it is I'm doing wrong. Currently, I'm at a loss with these cars. Here's my Jerez set. It's the default with different gearing and the front end softened a little. cp.sync.com/dl/914f8be40#u95werrg-bprtrmr5-zhc3gzfg-d4dy9t4jAs I mentioned earlier, my Road America winning set was the default with gearing adjustments. No secret sauce. It could be that you need to find a setup that works for your style. However, if you're using words like "overdriving" then you're probably not braking enough before turning in. These cars need most of the braking done in a straight line. Get it slowed down (more than you would with, say a GT3 car), turn in and use the throttle to refine the line from the apex to corner exit.

Anyone else having problems with steering rotation? It is completely broken for me. I have my wheel set to Auto steering rotation and the game set to auto steering rotation (which is how I have always had it set up) and my steering rotation is completely off. I also tried matching the steering rotation of the car to the steering rotation of my wheel and in game settings (540) and it is still completely broken. I am starting to get really annoyed with AMS
