I'm not sure exactly how, but there is a way to do driver swaps. That would be sweet for a true 12hr race.....the tough part would be getting enough peeps that we'd have enough cars on track for it to be worthwhile. helios i'll try and get ahold of someone over at race factor, they due driver swaps thats an awsome idea as well and i spaz i was about to get you ! lol!!! this is the way i see it if we are running a 60-90min race, at say leman then lets set it up as if it was a 24hr race..... day, night the whole nine yards if its a 90 min. race were looking at 30mins in the dark and 60 in the light. it would fly by so quick, and on the plus side of it we learn to be better drivers and tuners. and i think it would put it one step closer on the bridge of sim vs real. and thats alwasy cool.

This race will truly be a wake up call for me.
Still haven't turned a wheel in the dark as of yet, only just getting it in the day lol.
No where's my head light button.

you'll have to go into setting and adjust the time and then go to testing or race and it should work. sometime pratice dosent show. it but the race dose it. i think depends on the time scale as well

Hey guys so after much reading on ISI Forums and no-grip forums I believe the time scale to be 1:1 in terms of minutes.
Based on that in order to run a time scaled 24 hour race, the time scale will need to be set at x16. I am basing that on:
x16 means 30 min real time = 480 min game time.
So a 90 min race at x16 should net us 24 Hours of Game Time.

I will finalize testing tonight for the time scale and determine what the best tire/fuel scale should be as well. Apologies for doing this the week prior to the event but things have been a bit nutty the last couple of weeks for me.
Cheers!

Damn, this race is coming up fast... I've gotta get more practice in. One of the dangers about planning so far ahead is it's easy for me to forget about things. So a 90 min race at x16 should net us 24 Hours of Game Time. That should be right. 90 min * 16 = 1440 minutes = 24 h * 60 min/h

The time scale ended up being x15 as there was no option for 16. Not sure if I can set that by editing a file directly but figured x15 would be fine. I am also going to set mechanical failures to none rather than time scaled otherwise we might have people blowing engines, tires, etc. near the end of the race.
Cheers!

Pack - Check Practice/Race Server - Check TS3 - Check Car Choice - Check Bribe to Organizer - Nope
Aside from one outstanding thing, I think you are ready to go. Make sure you map a button for headlights on your chosen controller otherwise you will get a DQ very quickly once it goes dark.
Look forward to seeing you there!
Cheers!
