Anyone else here have the Steam version of these Simbin titles? I do, as well as some extra tracks and mods. I find the feedback effects feel better than rFactor, even with realfeel and leo's combined. I had to get GTR Evo, only because it has my favorite track- Nordschleife! I should get Race Injection as well, as it would include the other expansions I'm missing. If enough of us have it, I may just do that.

I've got Race07 and GTR Evo...though I've yet to install them on the CPU. Picked them up because they were on sale and cheap when I ordered rFactor.

I have both as well. Needed them for the VLN mod for rFactor.

I have both of these also, most likely for the VLN mod.
These old games are pretty reasonable price and so when I get the chance I usually pick them up.
I was actually looking at GTR Evo and Race 07 just a couple days ago.
They seem quite similiar to rFactor but also to RacePro (on xbox 360). Lots of tracks and fair number of cars. I tried a few and seemed like driving rFactor to me...
I have seen some web sites that show how a lot of these games connect (ie. who created them, what games came before/after, etc) and was going to look into the history but have not had a chance.

Race07 and its expansions were developed by Simbin, who also made RacePro, which was pretty much an experiment in trying to bring a pc sim to the Xbox. If it offered better FFB, it probably would have done much better. Race07 may be similar to rfactor, but comes with a very good variety of cars and tracks by default. The expansion packs add even more first party content (like DLC on the Xbox). There are even mods and tracks to download for free to add even more content. The mod team Virtua_LM makes a very nice version of Sebring for both rfactor and Race07...with all the bumps and uneven pavement. I only have Race07 and STCC The game on Steam.
EDIT: I do have Race on, also Race Room+Formula add-on, and GTR2.

I have Race 07, STCC, GTR Evo and Race On via Steam. I play them occasionally, but would be interested in doing some MP if several of you want to. I would like to spend more time on these games, but the single player just does not hold my attention, since there is no career mode.

I have to work this weekend, but I'll setup a server tonight if anyone here wants to run some WTCC on the long nurburgring layout. Practice, qualifying, and race sessions. Just find me on TeamSpeak after 8pm eastern if you want to run with me.

Since the TS Server is currently not working, you can find my game by finding "GBR Paradox WTCC" in the server list. The password is the same as the server info section. I'll run the server as late as I can tonight.
edit: cancelling this for now til things are working. I'll setup a casual game for trying out Race07 in the near future.

Do the mods work with the Steam versions of the game?
I now have, Race07 + Formula race room, Race On, Retro,STCC 1 & 2, WTCC 2010, GT Power and GTR Evo.
Not sure how to add mods to the Steam versions if possible.
