I ran about 30 laps, 10 of which where actual runs, and managed to run a paltry 1:16. I'm sure I can get that way down with much more practice... The car is really fun to drive and I was expecting it to have much less grip than it had. But my question is: Is tuning allowed? If you didn't tune then you were probably on intermediate tires. Slap some softs on there and go for it! |

Make sure to practice pitstops, Seb. Those usually catch out the n00bs at the first event Especially the pit speed violations...  Also know how to get to your pit menu during the race and how to make changes if needed. |

Thanks for the tips.
The car was completely stock, so yeah, there were probably intermediates on there.
Pitting is what is making me the most nervous... I'll be sure to practice. How many pitstops per race?

Depends on the event..sprints usually none. Mains 1. Enduros...1 but you will probably need more

Intermediates are the only one that has a mandatory pit...4 tire change minimum.
Sprints are no stop.
Enduros don't have a "mandatory" stop, but you won't make it without at least 1. A lot of guys stop twice w/ the exception of a few that are a bit easier on the tires.

one other thing to either practice or "cheat" (like me) is starts off the line when i first started i used no aids take offs were well terrible... i use TC to take off & then turn it off once im going. i think i could go without it now but too risky lol

Oh yeah... do not use auto-pit. We disable it on the servers anyway so you'll be f'd if you expect it to work. |

Bah, my schedule is already falling apart. I have to work Oct 3rd and will miss Winton (which I was looking forward to running). Why couldn't my meeting get scheduled for the Autumn Ring night?!?!?!? Hawks, how much beer money do I have to PayPal you to swtich those two dates? |
