I was wondering if it would be a good idea to start a thread where folks could submit patterns and logos for the painters to dip into as a resource? I use GIMP 2.8 but from what I understand most image manipulation programs use the same type of files.

If you find or create something that you want to share, go for it, always looking for new stuff. Sounds like a good idea.
EDIT: And if you need something and can't find it, ask, maybe one of us has it or can make it.
