Sorry about bailing on the race, but I just pissed myself off to the point that I didn't want to stay. I don't know if I'm getting burned out or just frustrated at my performance. See ya next time.

Man, that was difficult one. Race 1 all ok, Ricardo did a great Pole Position, but on race pace I was fine. He made a mistake, and all I had to do was control my lead to the end. But given the wear I had on practice and on the first race, no way in hell I could do 25 laps with soft tires. So there I go again on Hards...who should be called compounds Hard Life. There is even an slogan for it: "Hard Life tires. The longer you go, the harder it gets!" Anyway, was my only option to avoid a 30+secs Pit Stop, and in the end it paid off. At least I knew a blow out was out of question. Congrats to Jeff and Chris who managed to make the softs last the whole race, I have no idea how. In the end they were eating me alive on the corners. But race 2 there were some pretty exciting fights, with Boza, Jeff, Chris....really nice stuff. By the way...Boza...sort this name, buddy. Use a real driver name ffs..... Now...Winton.....oh boy...

Awesome fun last night. Eastern hasn't treated me well in the past...and last night certainly had it's moments. But regardless, it was a great night of racing. Spent a good bit of the sprint race duking it out w/ Dale...resulting in a finish separation of only .060sec! The intermediate race was just nuts. I was surprised to see a pack of 5-6 cars running together for the first half of the race. Even in the later stages, there were still at least 3 of us running together. Mental. Congrats to the podiums...that was some work last night.

Lack of practice showed in my results. This mod's tires are really sensitive to being abused. It's a nice challenge but hard to just drop in every two weeks. So, I have work to do.
I don't remember much about Race 1. I wasn't sure about tires for Race 2 so I bet against myself and decided on a 1-stop strategy. That backfired slightly as I got held up by guys protecting tires and Angelo on hards. Once I pitted was lapping and not really concentrating and all of a sudden Boza was behind me. I then got distracted and crashed. 5 laps remaining to drive with a bent car but lucky for me, JImmy was 30 seconds back so I kept the position.

Thanks for coming out guys. I had very little practice coming into this race and it showed. I have been studying for a certification exam for my job for the past 4 months so simracing was taking a back seat for a while. Wednesday morning I took the exam and passed it so now I can get my priorities straight and focus more on simracing.
This track is extremely tricky what with all the blind off camber corners. That last sector, especially the last two left handers were eating my lunch until about halfway through race 2.
Race 1 was fun with our little train of Joe, Chris, Dale and myself. We were all very close for a number of laps and it was great. Then joe spun, and then i think on the next lap i spun in the same place.
Race 2 there was no way i was going to make softs last 25 laps, and remembering Angelo's words about the hards, I stuck with softs and knew I would need to pit. All was going fine until about lap 10 or so and I decide my tires had too much life left in them so I drifted around the long sweeping turn 1 left hander. There, that's better! Knocked about 5% off each tire in that one corner.
I should be able to get much more seat time and be better prepared for the rest of the season. I was really hoping our numbers would increase since it is the V8's but they aren't. I am wondering if Rich forgot about the race.
Oh well on to the next round.

Maybe the lack of updates on the Race thread make the thing goes cold. I suggest that on the day before the race, you do that thing with the cool little images for race day, and also put the current championship table, calling people for the event ahead.
Just throwing an idea.
I completely understand what you said about your work, though. Priorities. Something I have a huge problem to deal with. You´re completely right.

I agree angelo. Now that I don't have to study in most of my free time I can have more updates here.
