Eliminate mandatory pit stops for NAGT Series?

Just throwing it out based on some comments to see if you guys would like to see NAGT go to no mandatory pit stops for the duration of the series.

I know I was commenting about it getting rid of the main hitch of the AWD cars. Realistically, it's not always going to be a huge impact...and Dale is just bloody fast in that thing anyways (he was mixing it up w/ Fantomas for god's sake ). Mandatory pits has always been something we've done here and add's a bit of strategy...so I'm not against it either.

I'm good either way we roll. Bring on the Pit Girls! ;D

Remove the rule if you wish. I like the challenge of nursing that beast to the end and rolling the dice on tire strategy.

I voted to keep it for two reasons.
1. I can't go the whole race w/out pitting.
2. F1 would never pit. (So no matter what, I would always be a lap or more down)
It's your series, so do as you see fit. but I honestly think the mandatory pit keeps everyone on even terms.

You'd be surprised how bad the Volvo's lap times get when the tires finally go.

If you want to level the playing field there is the option of 2x tire wear. The Volvo would have to pit (and remember, I'm not the only Volvo driver) but a smooth driver in the other cars might be able to make it on zero stops.

Hey guys, thanks for the comments so far. I'm not looking to fix something that isn't broken here but more looking for feedback to ensure that everyone is enjoying the series. I know we are only a couple of rounds in and some folks are still feeling out the mod.

For the other folks that run in the series, please don't be shy about posting a vote or a comment. Myself and other series organizers depend on your participation to make these things run so your feedback is VERY important to us.

I voted for no mandatory pit stops, I don't really like having to pit just because it's a rule. But I do like the 2x tire wear option. You could also increase fuel usage along with that. Give us a reason so we have to pit. Make it so that you can't get to the end of the race without a pit stop. Basically a pit stop required or you won't be able to finish deal.

I had thought about the 2x on the tires...but I think I would recommend against that at this point in time (other mods sure). With some people that are struggling getting adjusted to this mod, this will make things even tougher for them. The one thing about this mod, it punishes the tires if you overdrive the car. Smooth inputs & slow in/fast out really benefit with these.
