Thanks to Helios we have our next round selected DATE: Sunday October 21 TIME: 0830 PDT TRACK: Autodromo Dino Ferrari (Imola)  DOWNLOAD: www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=Imola%201988TRACK NOTES: A fairly straight-forward track. Typical F1 track with decent run-off and drivable curbs. Gentleman's rules in effect for the chicanes. If you cut then lift to give back the time. RACE LENGTH: 90 minutes timed event QUALIFICATION: By Live Racers times at 0001, Oct 21 RACE CONDITIONS: Dawn start (5:00 AM), mid-day finish. Probably won't need headlights. SAND: Not tested FUEL: 2x TIRES: 1x |

Goddamn another stuttery track...up to 200fps yet still it stutters, oh well I'll fiddle with the settings till I find the cure...not exactly graphically heavy though.

Sorry, not good news  I just recently picked up a 670 card and I started noticing what seemed liked small stuttering at times on various rFactor 1 mods and tracks. Had not noticed this effect before when running 2 570's in SLI. At times with nighttime tracks and many cars I would notice some slow down, perhaps light stuttering with the 570's, but that was all. However, now I am having it happen to an extreme even in daytime tracks Anyways, the bottom line is that you may not be alone with stuttering on this track. Going to try deleting my drivers and reinstalling the latest, see how that goes. On the good side rFactor 2, Project Cars, etc work a lot better now with a 670  |

Ah...well it is to be expected I suppose, the further we get from the specs rF1 and mods were made on the more likely we are to hit problems. It can be odd mixes, Sebring stuttered with the Porsche mod, but not the Enduracers. There is new drivers I have yet to download, and I may have forgotten to do the tweaks on that mod, like the 4GB patch so that may sort it.

I didn't notice any issues when I tested it. I'll post a screenshot of my rFactor settings in a bit. Nvidia Control panel is at default.
If we can't resolve it, I'll pick a different track.

Note that I'm running dual GTX 670s but they're not being used efficiently by rF (~50% usage each). I'm getting around 200-250 fps in the big curve after the start (Tamburello) and closer to 100 fps up the hill (especially coming up the hill where there are two cranes ahead, I think it was the one after the slow double right about 1/4 the way though the lap)  |

ya i had stuttering the other day on WINTON!! lol the other day one real basic track.. it only started a couple laps in. i jumped offa track and hasn't happened since, I'm running 2 670s

Okay nothing I said before applies to this track LOL great, full eyecandy 20 cars on track and smooth as silk. What a well made track this is, looks fantastic and going to be tough to get even close to right...great choice.

Glad to hear it Knight.
This is a great track in real life too. It was always one of favourites to watch on TV although it also comes with a certain remembrance of the tragedies that happened in 1994.
