Nice, and a chance for Fred to repay me for a defeat in a past endurance race here.

I have loaded the VLM LeMans 1991-1196 version of the track onto the server and it is currently up and running. I won't get a chance to test it until tonight.
Cheers!

Ok folks, I have tested the VLM 1991-1996 LeMans version and it is MUCH better than the LeMans 2004 v1.05 that was originally posted. I have updated the links in this thread and the downloads thread.
Cheers!

The race is 1 week away. If you haven't got some practice in I would encourage you to do so as this will be both a day and night race. The track looks MUCH different at night and objects you use as brake markers may not be visible.
Also, as always have your headlights mapped and have ignition and starter mapped as well because these cars can overheat in pit lane.
Lastly, if you have not confirmed your car choices since the elimination of the GT1 class, please make sure to do so.
Looking forward to a great race on the 6th!
Cheers!

I'm just hoping I have the same sudden understanding of car and track I was bizarrely privy to last week, mind you I am going to get eaten alive on those long straights.

The track looks MUCH different at night and objects you use as brake markers may not be visible. We did a day/night race here at efnet. There are some corners you definitely want to practice in the dark. Indianapolis for example is totally dark and requires a bit of blind trust as you approach it.

And drop like flies they did, a war of internet attrition with folk getting dropped of the server all the way through the race. I made it through to the end to finish the second endurance race of the day, and make Fred and I's Le Mans meetings score 3-0 he he. More by luck than skill, but I'll take what I can get
