Server is up. Guys I'm going to ask that you take the time to ensure that you can log into the race server before race day. It takes 2 minutes to verify that you have the right track. We all make sure that we got everything right in the V8's and other series...i see no reason we can't do it for Spazcar too. My goal is to get qualifying races done by 8pm so that we may have a good long race or two for the main event , and allow any last minute pop ins that can't make the 7:35. We will also be doing a "pre-test" at 7:25PM to just make sure there are no conflicts for anyone. That will allow time to fix anything....hopefully Format for this race will be first heat as per current points, second heat reverse start of First and Main based on combination of both events.

I'd like to make a request of no day of skin additions. Some of us don't get home with a lot of time to spare, and chasing down those things can take time, especially when they are not in the same place to grab for downloads (I knew I saw it somewhere earlier today, but couldn't remember where I had seen it). And tonight, I had the track pack installed.....but the track we were at wasn't in it. If I didn't have issues finding the server, I probably would've had just enough time to have that sorted. I think I had the deck stacked against me tonight. You should've just left me and started on time, I know what it's like being a race host myself.

No more Skin additions this season. That was a last minute gratitude deal for Dan. I ok'd it cause he does alot for us and finally got his done. When we move to NWS, all skins must be done and in on time BEFORE the start of the season. Next revision will be at the half way point of the season only. And i understand about time..trust me. I'll also make the next version of Home Town available as a complete folder download where all you have to do is drop your exe in or...as well as offering the mod itself for a lite install to help simplify things.

I share Spaz's and Helio's concerns. I logged in last night at 7:10 pm PST and we did not start racing until almost an hour later. Like many of you, I have precious little time on weeknights to race and rather than sitting in my pitbox surfing the Internet, as I did for over 30 minutes last night, I would rather be racing with you guys and having fun. If I need practice, I should and often do that before I get on. I certainly have been guilty in the past of logging in at the last minute and needing to download the correct track and/or skin pack. But, I have tried to limit such issues so that the host has one less problem to deal with. rFactor is great, but its a technical nightmare in many different ways and its very difficult for newbies to pick up. We should do our level best to make things easier for the host. That includes addressing technical issues ahead of time.
My two cents, take em or leave em.

It will be better for the next mod...it will only be able available as a complete folder just needing exe and user data/config files dropped in.

ya i did a whole new lite install yesterday a coupla hours before race also installed the skin pack had it all done & tested on track by about 1130 here. as i rememeber my first go with yas i had to d/l skin pack at the last second and it was difficult for me as i was still pretty new to all this folder/packs etc stuff

Apologies from the newbe for last week. Had brain freeze while trying to copy skins pack into mod. I now have both of Whitewolf's cars loaded and I have been practicing online for the past week so I hope I have the right track. I hope all systems are go for tonight. Will try to be online by 7 to verify. Now if I can just stay off the wall and out of the infield.

That was my fault Ed, Felt bad you could not join us. As for this track, I need a tune Ian. Unless the rear tires are supposed to cross the line first? If so, I'm golden...
