I knocked a couple of seconds off last night but I'm hoping for a productive hour of practice when I get home from work

I'm going to have to be down as a maybe, sadly, I thought it was slam dunk but I just got a couple of revisions by email for a project that needs "fancy charts" for friday. I wasn't done the fancy charts for the plans before the revisions so I'm chained to the work desk at the moment but will try to get on if time permits.

The V8 Supercars face off tonight at the historic Rouen Les Essarts. This will a single race consisting of 32 laps with 1 mandatory, 4 tire change pit stop. Please be on the race server (Gone Broke Racing) and on TS by 7 pm PST (approx 2 1/2 hours from now). Qualifying will begin at 7:15 sharp. I expect the race to last about an hour. We will begin at 3 pm virtual time and I have set the race time to x5. If my calculations are correct (I'm no math major though), it should end around 8:30 pm virtual time. This means the last 1/3 or so of the race will be dusk to dark. Please be sure you map your headlights as you will be disqualified by the game if you don't turn them on when it starts to get dark. A couple things to note. The pits are on the long front straight and it is very narrow through this section. Cars will be coming down this straight and start to make the turn 1 kink right after pit road exit. Please announce on TS when you are exiting pits and stay as far to the right as possible (your right tires should be on the very edge of the road) as you go around turn one. Cars coming down this straight will have little time to react if you don't make sure it's clear and will surely cause both of you to wreck. We don't want that now do we? The second item to mention is Turn 4, which is the exit corner of the chicane. The tire wall is there for a reason. When exiting this corner, your right side tires should be on the asphault. If you cut through this section, you must lift off the throttle briefly to give back any time gained. Look forward to seeing you out on track tonight. Good luck!

Well I have to admit that race went FAR better than I had anticipated.
Not having turned a lap until tonight, I just ported over my Bathurst tune, tweaked here and there and realized I had a pretty good pace. I promised myself I would keep my nose clean and not push too hard (usually my downfall this season).
Had a good run with Boza for most of the race either defending or chasing but good times all around. Rich made a great push after his drive thru and if there had been even half a lap more, he would have gone around me.
Great race for me and boy did I need a good one! Thanks to everyone that came out as the grid was packed again! Awesome to see the turnouts.
Congrats to our podium finishers!
Cheers!

Thanks Smokey - Stinky ran a flawless race as usual. I think he's more machine now than man...twisted and evil. Check this out guys - Boza and Rich ran an identical 1:50.243 in qualifying. Never seen that before. Looks like it gave Boza the spot ahead of Rich as Boza's second best time was faster than Rich's. That's crazy! Talk about close competition. Congrats to Stinky. Lost quite a bit of time in the pits as another car was in my pit stall when I entered. I call conspiracy as I think it was a Ford! Keep hoping for a W at some point, but Stinky isn't having it!

Congrats again Stinky. I tried to start easy and not make the 1st or 2nd lap errors that have dogged me in January.
All went OK, I guess. Once again I found pace at the last minute but consistency was my downfall tonight. There was nothing I could do to hang on to Hawks. Rich and I were probably the closest to a battle but everytime we got close there was either pits or traffic that prevented a real head-to-head battle. He was clearly faster than me but I was able to stay in front. With a handful of laps left, Rich ducked into the pits and I stopped pushing and protected the podium position.

Sorry that some guys had connection issues tonight. I showed that most guys had a good ping and my computer was running fine, so not sure what the problem was.
Congrats to Stinky. With 2 races to go and only 250 points at stake, he has secured his 2nd consecutive GBR V8 Supercars Championship. Well done Jeff!
