for my first V8 race I did great, I finished with out causing any grief or destroying the car. Well done to the podium finishers.

I had a good race, 9th was beyond my expectations, but I should apologize to Helios for running him off the track on the hairpin. There was a lot of stuttering and cars were blinking in and out, but that is no excuse. I did not hit the brakes fast enough and consequently, Helios went off and apparently never recovered. I pride myself on being a clean driver, first and foremost, but I blew it on that one.

No worries Lawyer, it happens. Yeah, when it went into the wall it bent the steering. Pitted at the end of L1. Then started pushing it to try to make up time, went off a couple more times...grew frustrated. Almost quit. Heard Bearz run into issues, stopped to try pushing his car back to the pits for repairs...but it was sitting at an awkward angle and pretty well stuck. In a high speed area w/ the leaders coming up, decided against trying to push him out into the track (the only way to get his car moved from where it stopped). Thought about points decided to tough it out and see what I could make up from DNFs. Made my second pit on L22/3. Threw on fresh rubber to push through to the end. Caught up and passed Timber, Sweeney & Custom in the last stint. Sucks about Custom's screen minimize...tough track to recover from that on. In the end wound up finishing about where I started. Shit happens, I'll be back at Melborne.

Congrats for your win Stinky.
My first V8 race and looks like I have a lot to learn. The car plows for me and we'll see what I can do with the tune and change the driving style and go from there. I really thought I would of been more competitive but I spun it on the last turn of the first lap and lost the front splitter. she really plowed then and nearly went into the pits to fix it. Nope - adapted and drove it. Then I learned about loosing tires - my left front was gone before I planned to pit which means, I shred them and now realize, more work to do. So, the pit fixed everything and I was still slow. Does this mean, once you break her she's no good for the rest of the night? Anyway, poor performance and very challenged. Too bad there's only a couple races left. Cheers again and sorry for scaring a few of you. I admit, I was out of control.

Instead of Stinky, you can just call me 2-time! Ha!! I have to say I had a good race! Hawks kept pace with me up until the pitstops and made me run harder than I really wanted to. Hate that his pit was blocked, I think it would have come right down to it otherwise!

They get better after repairs...but will never be as good as an undamaged car.
Easy in, fast out. Use the throttle to pivot the car on corner exit. They take a bit of adjustment to get used to, but once you settle into them, they are a blast.

Way to go 2time!!! Bud you were just dominant this season!! The bar has been raised and its up to the rest of us to catch you:). I couldn't not find my pace last night at all, but I'm happy with 4th. It seemed like everybody was pulling away from me on the straights but I was able to make up time in the turns. @kelly....it was fun chasing you around, too bad you spun it with a couple laps to go. @rich...same qually time!! That has to be 1st:)

That is pretty cool Boza! I couldn't match my pb in qually but oh well. The race was going pretty good until I got a drive-thru on the first pit stop. I had to really push it to get close to Kelly and Boza there at the end but ran out of time. Pat, there is another season coming up. ;D You and Robb did a great Job (everyone actually) just to finish.

Hawks always puts in a "Short" break between seasons. Hopefully it's not to long, I start getting antsy after two weeks of no V8's. But normally it's a month or so, Which I can understand now that I run events also.

sigh... really enjoy that track and was one the few where I actually felt I was actually driving the v8 ;D One of my better qualify times, then on the first hairpin I go and mess it all up But managed to get back up to a respectable 13th ( I think) all the time sweating as Tony seemed always right back there ready to pounce then my router decided to act up (had been good for a few weeks) and I lost my internet
