Whew. Made Class C oval tonight, now I can race the trucks:) Hopefully, I should hit Class B when I get a couple of nights to work on it. I might even see Lawyer in a race!

I plan to do the Class C Fixed race tonight at 8:45pm PST. Jump in if you can. Wife and kids are at the inlaws, and my work week is done. Lots of racing is in my future tonight!!!

I'll go run some practice now and we'll see if the luck of the splits is with us at race time!

You are good, but new, so hopefully we will be in the same group. Looking forward to it. I am going to get some Forza in first, but will be on a few minutes before the race starts for warmup. Go GBR!!!!

Our iRatings are close enough... looks like we'll be in the same split. I'll be intentionally hanging out near the back so I don't cause a wreck until I get more comfortable with the truck. The rear gets really light coming out of 2. I'll probably pick someone close to me and follow for a while.

If you can't wait until the 50% Black Friday renewal deal, iR is offering $30 credit with a 1-year renewal right now. That's basically a credit towards future purchase of two pieces of content (car and track, for example).
========================== The early renewal bonus program is back!
Renew your membership for a year and we’ll send you $30 iRacing credits. You can use your credits to purchase cars or tracks, extend your membership further or even some hosted sessions.
Whether your membership expires this month or next year, you can still take advantage of this great deal. When you purchase another year it will be added to the length of your subscription so don’t worry about losing time. Feel free to extend by two or three years as well, you’ll get $30 iRacing credits for each year you extend.
To take advantage of this offer simply extend your membership by a year, we will do the rest. We’ll automatically add the bonus credits to your account on June 25th. *Offer is good for existing accounts only. Offer valid June 13, 2012 through June 22, 2012 GMT. Only 1-year renewals count towards program, however, multiple 1-year renewals are allowed on the same account. A 2-year renewal is not eligible for the bonus credits.

So...after a wild talladega last night thought id pop on a run a street stock event as my sr was getting close to getting me to a d license. Ya well obviously the punks are done with school and gaming late..first corner I get taking out and collect 2 others. Get repaired back out on the track....only to get wiped out after going high to avoid a pack that was baring down on me. Took out 3 cars inthee process...St went from 3.69 to 3.44 in one race. Fuck starting on pitroadd anymore..lol I going back to trying to start up front and getting away from the mess... lol

Crappy luck, man. I found the 11 PM - 1 AM slot to be best for building SR. The Aussies that come on are very clean for the most part and that's when Shane van Gisbergen and Scott McLaughlin are usually on so you have a chance to race with the V8 boys. The one bad thing about that time is that you get the Asians that refuse to use chat and often have sketchy internet... it sounds terrible but if the name didn't look North American or Australian/NZ I would stay very far away from those cars.
I never did the pit road thing. If I got a spot near the front and wasn't comfortable with the guys around me I'd just run high into T1 and slot back down where I was comfortable (usually P7-10).
I just don't understand some of the guys in Street Stocks though. There's this one guy who starts almost every race from the pits and announces to everyone that he's racing for SR but every time I look at his stats he's like 6-14x every race and this SR is dropping like a stone.

Street stock is too frickin hard to do clean. The cars are big and clumsy, and the tracks are small. IMO, street stocks in iRacing are harder than the Class B or C NASCAR races, yet street stocks are a Rookie level race. Ridiculous...

Most of my early SR boost was with the SS at Charlotte... you pretty well have all the room you could want there. However, it was the Class D stock car where I felt I started truely progressing and not just turning laps because I had to.
