Yes I did that, but still...I was looking at the view out of my road car today, well I do that every day LOL and for me what I see is far more akin to bonnet view than a game in car, Yes that's true. I find the same in some cars (the Cadillac CTS is apparently terrible for this). With my 3 monitor setup I have the FoV set so it basically cuts the dash off at the bottom of the screen (in many cars I can't see the gauges).

Yes the Mazda view is not too bad but there is still a lot of wasted screen real estate...heh just one of my personal preferences. I believe it is, to a large degree, a perception thing; something your brain can learn to adjust to. We are used to looking at a monitor/screen as a whole so it takes a while to get used to ignoring the surrounding graphics in cockpit view. It is almost a year for me using exclusively cockpit view and I find now that my focus/perception is mostly outside the cockpit, I pretty well ignore the inside of the car graphics. I agree that when driving in real life it can appear that the view is similar to bonnet view. But I think this is largely because years of driving have conditioned us to put our perceptual focus just outside the car. A large amount of the car interior is in your field of view. Anyways just some simple and likely quite offbase thoughts I have had a number of times on this subject

Anyways just some simple and likely quite offbase thoughts I have had a number of times on this subject I also race primarily with the cockpit view in all racing sims, including GT5, Forza 4, iRacing, rFactor, Project CARS, Richard Burns Rally, Dirt 2, Dirt 3 and Shift 2. The only exception is GT5, where I occasionally will switch to the classic GT5 HUD, due to the lack of decent cockpit views for many "standard" cars. I have adjusted 100% to cockpit view and cannot go back. Nor can I race on a single screen anymore, I have to use triple screens for any racing game. Period.

My first win! Two laps ahead of the 2nd and 3rd place drivers! members.iracing.com/membersite/member/EventResult.do?&subsessionid=5709976&custid=48282OK, there was some teen that decided to exact vengenance on someone and wiped out the 5 lead cars but I'd like to think SPAZCAR taught me how to not get caught in the wrecks and find a hole so there was some skill involved... and a lot of luck. Sigh, I just want out of the freaking rookie class. I thought Rookie road was bad... this is like Special Ed class. Dale, well done. You did not just win the race, you crushed the competition. You led 18 laps!!! And, street stocks are tough in iRacing. The tracks are short and tight. I could not hang with those dudes, I find the NASCAR series to be much more manageable, even though they require a higher SR.

Guess there's morons in any class...had a stupid class A spin me out for 10th spot after i had returned from a wreck battling for the lead..that's happened 3 , 4 times. Man we are sooooooo better drivers in Spazcar...feel like I'm playing Forza with a fucking bunch of timmies over in iRacing...I'm just trying to licence up to get awa from them...eesh Wait til i broadcast this on YouTube and show them how stupid they are...

So... for our next event how do people feel about the Spec Racer Fords at Summit Point? Realizing, of course that we have to stick with the base content because not everyone will have started buying cars and tracks yet.

Good luck mate...my fist lap in this I think I went off on every corner LOL, at least there is a good view for those of us with small monitors used to bonnet cams. Engine in this car sounds sweet too.
